I also have one of this guy's stocks. I received it promptly. Ever since it was installed I've had special abilities.

Try holding the gun upright, take the weight off the bolt by lifting it a little and jiggle it a little while letting it ease in so it goes into the recoil tube.

This all sounds like rocket science. Weren't these laws made by the same morons that are flushing our country down the toilet? I can own a shotgun with an 18" barrel but if I own a shotgun with a barrel 4" shorter without jumping through their stupid hoops like I'm some sort of circus animal I'm a felon. Seriously?? What exactly is the reasoning for this? Last I checked, there's a LOT of guns including rifles, handguns and so on that are much shorter than a SBS. So what's the damn point? IMO, a shorter barrel makes a shotgun LESS effective and LESS deadly by widening it's grouping and shortening it's effective range. Sure, it's easier to conceal but there's much better guns out there to conceal for whatever reasons you want to git it done. If the purpose is to make law abiding citizens hate the government, they're doing a great job!

I got a little over zealous on the center screw and over tightened it a bit. I was 2 down and 3 to go and I pushed the limits.. what can I say. So the center hole is stripped but it holds the screw since I lock tighted it, so it's not completely stripped out but it is stripped. God help us all.

I like Magpul myself. Surefire makes the M80 for the M4. FFT makes a replica (almost) of the stock version.

Depends on what you have on it. With all the gadgets and gizmos on my M4 I measured it's width to be over 33 inches. It's length is 8 feet 6 inches and it is 40 inches tall! Weighing in at 310 lbs. (not loaded) 600 lbs. (loaded). Now that's impressive, is it not?! I just wish it was a little more comfortable to sit on.

Please post some pics after you get this thing installed. I'm really looking forward to seeing one on a gun.

That Standard stock has class. It brings out the "boomstick" in the M4. I like it. I didn't want to say anything about the magazine you stuck with but since you posted about waiting for Kip and his biblical parts I guess I should say... Your gun with a full length Kip's tube would make me cream my pants. AWSOME.

I hear this a lot. Your statement is based on assumption. There is nothing the regular sights can do that the night sights cannot. On the other hand. You can see your night sights in the dark, you cannot see your regular sights in the dark. Now let me ask you this, how can you be certain of any circumstances that you might find yourself in if your M4 is in your hands? The night sights give you an advantage in the dark, whether or not your gun is equipped with a weapon light. To say otherwise is incorrect. To satisfy your arguement, here is an example: You hear a noise in your house in the middle of the night. You go through your standard protocol (I know you have one), you see your wife in the bed you just crawled out of, you go to the room next to yours and see your kids in their beds. You now know for a fact that the noise you hear downstairs is not your family. You descend the stairs and turn the corner and flash your weapon light to the ceiling to light up the room, you see a grown man in your living room. It was only a momentary flash from your weapon light so you have the opportunity to crouch and move left/right along the wall. You can see the man's silloehette and fix on it with your NIGHT SIGHTS without drawing further attention to yourself. He is hopefully blinded by your previous flash but you are not and you have your target in your sights.... This is one of many things that can occur. Night sights for the win. You can get by without them but where can you go wrong with them?? Sure, my story can get picked apart by somebody, but as it's happening, who has time to pick something apart? It is what it is and after that, it was.

I have a surefire M80 that I'm probably gonna sell. Just put it on and honestly it's not doing it for me. When it comes to the M80 it's a hit or miss depending on personal preference so there's nothing wrong with the part. I just miss the stock forend and I would like to go back. I also have a magpul forgrip for sale since it will be rendered useless. Not sure if it's a AFG 1 or 2 because I have them both and I have to decide which to keep on my AR.

Factory are not night sights. They claim to glow but they do not, not for longer than 15 minutes anyway. I'm a Trijicon fan but they don't make Trijicon sights for a Benelli M4 (to my knowledge). Somebody in the past had a sight made by Trijicon but I'm not sure how that turned out. If I were you I would go Meprolight. They are great and have good reviews. Not many people that have them hate them. I have them and my only complaint is that the dots aren't that visible in the daylight. But that's what the ghost ring is for... right? So all is good here and I wouldn't go back.

This, to me, is like a reality show. I'll build my gun the way I like it and leave the drama alone. I'm not a criminal. I do not intend on using my gun in a criminal way and therefore, they can kiss my ass. Of course my gun is 922r compliant!

Okay. I'm confused. How would a US collapsible stock be in violation of 922r? Let's say you start off with a stock M4, you remove the standard pistol grip stock and replace it with the available Benelli collapsible stock. All you have to do is replace one part on the M4 with a US part, like the follower, because by adding that stock you're adding another foreign part because it's considered "2 pieces" by some law writing moron. Replacing the follower will put you back where you were. I was under the impression that it was the full capacity magazine that put you in an entirely different parts count bracket, not the stock. Now, let's take that same stock M4 and replace the stock with a US made collapsible stock (if it existed). You should be good to go because your foreign parts count is actually one less than it was before the stock was changed and since you kept the neutered magazine tube you're still in the 13 foreign parts bracket. You now have 12 foreign parts. Is my understanding is wrong.

Just wondering how long "round 1" (the round with the not tactical enough finish) took? That should give us an idea of how long "round 2" will take and we can have a ballpark idea. If we're looking at 5 months than I might just order one now.

What was the ammo you were using that was getting stuck? I have that same problem when I use Federal tactical like 127OO and 127RS. I can spin them a little to get them in there but they don't fit as good as some other stuff.

That's right. M4 it is. M2s are nice, but it's not the same. He likes tactical weapons, then he likes Benelli M4s. An M2 is a step backwards and you'll risk disappointing him since you came so close to the M4 but didn't quite get it. I would be disappointed if that happened to me. Once again. You can't go wrong with an M4. In Black. Camo is cool but it costs a little more and some people don't like them. You can't go wrong with black, everybody likes black guns..... everybody.
