I have several guns, my home defense bedside gun is my Benelli M4. It's setup with a surefire x400, sidearmor 6 shot side saddle, meprolight night sights, kips full length tube, collapsible stock. I'm thinking about getting the surefire fore end and a Magpul fore grip. I prefer Federal OO Buck 9 pellet for home defense.

Not the end of the 200 dollar tubes. Kip's tube is worth every penny of $200. Not only is it worth it for the tube, but you're supporting Kip and his company which is in turn supporting us. I've ordered from Botach once and haven't had a problem but I've heard some horror stories. I've also ordered from HK and he's a good guy and he'll deliver. Just my opinion but anybody that chooses the Mesa stock over a C stock is crazy. Not saying the Mesa is a bad stock, it's not, but it doesn't offer what the C stock does.

Just my 2 cents, you should keep it. Put it somewhere, you will regret getting rid of it in the future. I have one I'm not using, I have the rail installed so I just have to throw the thing on if I want. At least I have the option to do so.

It's a good thing california has so many great gun laws, it really seems to have helped the crime rate.... My M4 isn't 922r compliant and it's a much deadlier weapon because of it. Having too many foreign parts makes my M4 much harder to control, by this I don't mean it's function, it's actually easier to control with that C stock. What I mean is, it wants to kill and it cries "hold me back, hold me back!" PLEASE help me to make my gun 922r compliant! I feel like I'm harboring a fugitive! Please help me make my gun safe to myself and the wonderful public around it. I remember clicking a link somewhere on this board that sent me to a site that had US made foregrips that looked like the OEM grips but I can't find that link and I don't remember what the site was. Does anybody know the link?

Hahaha. I told her I got a "rifle" and then yes, I hid it. She still hasn't seen it. So she's been fine so far. I'm planning on shooting the Ruger tomorrow. So far I only got to field strip it and give it a good wipe down and clean that factory debri from the barrel. I'm gonna have to let the smoke settle before I start ordering back up parts. Especially since I already ordered some goodies from Magpul, new stock, 5 more mags, sling, sling mounts, rail covers... and a trijicon RMR LED 8 MOA red dot to sit atop my trijicon acog for those close quarters zombies.

I guess I could misplace a part for any gun during cleaning. I could break a part for any gun and I could wear out a part on any gun from too much use or from poor maintenance perhaps. If I were to buy replacement parts to have around for the Ruger what would you guys suggest? I want some back up parts for those parts that experience the most wear and tear and have the highest potential for breaking.

Well, after MUCH MUCH thought I decided on the Ruger and I brought the thing home today. Not only that but I made the mistake of browsing the ACOG counter and brought one of those home too...... Oh and I stocked up I guess you can say on ammo... 4000 rounds. I'm still alive right now but that's because the wife doesn't come home until around 7 central time.

If I were the mailman I wouldn't want to give it up either. Can you blame him?

What's that next to the X300? Almost looks like another light. How do you operate that X300? Doesn't look like it is equipped with a pressure switch or anything.

So many to choose from! What do these guns have over the Ruger? I wish I could just buy them allll!!!!
