  1. All these cars will look even better with an M4 in the trunk Merry Christmas!
  2. There should be plenty about this online. One thing I read was double ear pro, I'm not sure if that's effective or not. Another thing to help see if your actually flinching is get someone to randomly load a dummy in the mag, and you'll see it. Other than that I'd just say practice practice practice and lots of dry fire until the click is instinct.

I'm never sure, is that an NP3 or Cerakote model? The black bolt is throwing me off...
  4. Pretty self-explanatory... If any of you run some, how do they perform? Or are they a bit gimmicky? Can't own em here up north.
  5. It's a beautiful shotgun with both beautiful and rugged build quality, but you get your money's worth when you beat the shit out of it I've been running Federal buck and slugs mostly, some S&B sport slugs, and more Federal 3" buck (00 and 000) and slugs. I've had 3 malfunctions in my ~700 rounds, two of which might've been the aftermarket mag extension/spring, and one potentially from hip firing lmao. I think there's probably more lube required for breaking in, otherwise it runs pretty well for me now without applying oil before I shoot.

    Some R&D

Thats a cool idea, I don't think it would be worth it to change from a regular 3-position tube, but could definitely be an interesting choice for someone with a non-collapsible tube looking to upgrade.
  7. Yeah keep the pistons dry, I'll clp then scrub the carbon off of them every couple hundred rounds.
  8. I typically seat the barrel in with the bolt locked back. I havent had any issues but this shouldn't cause any problems should it?
  9. Im right handed, I have it mounted on the right side, so when I shoulder it the sling goes around me. If I dont "wear" the sling, my cheek just sits on top and its not really noticeable at all, at least my Magpul MS1 is thin enough. The only thing is if you are hip firing for whatever reason, the left side can kind of dig in to your hip, but I consider that a non issue really.
  10. I use the standard sling loops on my C-stock too. On the front you might want to rotate the front mount, and you might also want to trim the sling to size after fitting it. I have some extra length that I just tuck underneath the cheek piece lol. Not the most elegant solution but it works. QD isn't necessary but would be nice to have if you ever want it out of the way and back on easily. I would like to do a qd mount sooner or later but I believe it takes a bit of modifying to the stock loops? Hopefully someone with actual experience can fill you in on that.

    RMR MOA?

I think I've narrowed down my optic to an RMR for my M4. I want a red dot but curious about MOA. I'm thinking 6 would be nice for fast and easy pickup through recoil, but 3 would be more practical. I have no experience with red dot sights lol.
  12. Could depend how tall you are. I've heard the PG full stock is long, idk about the field stock. (To correct my last post those are the two I've never used.) I do like my C-stock but I dont think its worth sacrificing a full length tube for it, especially if it has to be pinned.
  13. I say if its not the collapsible stock, then I'd go with the field stock, I havent used either though lol. The M4 look isn't complete without at least a mag extension or full length tube IMO.
  14. @bambihunter I've read that high and low brass isn't necessarily indicative of velocity these days? Maybe with such a high variety of ammo I think it's more accurate to just read the stats on the box. Hopefully y'all can clear this up for me because I'm not really sure. Otherwise, I just lube all the moving points on the bolt on my M4. Shot some trap yesterday and 3 dram 1200 fps #8 winchester heavy target loads locked open on each shot after 400-500 rounds of running 2-3/4" & 3" buck and slugs.
  15. Appreciate the help SD. I think there's warranty work available here in Canada through Stoeger so I might be able to figure something out through them. I'm going trap shooting this weekend so I'm gonna mark down the alignment with tape and see if it moves at all. Afterwards I'll probably just send it out for peace of mind.
  16. Maybe I shouldn't be dumping 3" rounds out of it lol, I might be putting a lot of pressure on it and once or twice the stock had twisted right after a full mag dump (it's possible I'm putting pressure on the button with my chin/cheek though). If it's too tight and actually hasn't moved I think I'll be ok, I'll have to keep an eye on it over time. Also, are the threads lefty loosey when aiming down the sights? I just don't want to be potentially loosening it under fire.
  17. I have an OEM c-stock, is this sort of alignment normal? It is slightly off to the right. It seems to be like that extended and collapsed.
  18. Part of why I got an M4 is that I know it can take a beating. Scratches dont bother me a bit, if the Marines can't beat it up enough to get something else I think I'll be just fine. There's plenty out there and it's value isn't in the rarity or cosmetic condition, at least to me.
  19. Yeah, when I first got mine, I just put the included oil all over the bolt and it ran 2 3/4" slugs and buck just fine. I've yet to run target loads through mine, but if you haven't, try some non low-recoil buck/slugs. Also, unless I'm misunderstanding, with a full magazine, the bolt shouldn't stay locked back, AFAIK it only stays back after shell release button is pressed/trigger pressed on an empty mag.
  20. It was definitely a buy once cry once, but I had been waiting on the first firearm purchase for a while, and I never considered an M4 (didn't realize I could legally own one where I live) until I saw it for sale one day, and I knew I had to have it. It obviously feels like quality, but I also know the price can be hard to justify for many. So with that in mind I was curious what made the price worth it for you guys on here. Here we get the collapsible stocks standard and I like the pistol grip also, and it just looks so pretty On the bright side, here in Canada I don't have to worry abou
  21. I am not the most experienced shooter. Maybe 6 or 7 years ago when I was a teen I had the chance to put a few rounds through some military grade full-auto weapons, as well as some .22 rifle and handgun target shooting, and trap shooting with over-unders. Among those I shot a semi-auto USAS which might be the most comparable shotgun to the M4 that I've used. The M4 is the first firearm I own, and I knew going in that spending that much money on a shotgun is largely unnecessary for an "enthusiast" like me, but it had me wondering... For those of you with wider firearms experience, what
  22. A heads up for anyone in Canada Cabelas got some back in stock after maybe a month or two being out of stock.
  23. From what I've heard (which isn't too much, frankly), I'm not sure what Benelli was up to when they designed the non-collapsible pistol grip stock, it seems a lot of people complain about it being too long, even with 6' + guys. Maybe its something for legality? I don't have any experience with it though.
  24. Yeah, it's feels unnatural to me, I have to have my head too far back on the stock close to my shoulder and it's not comfortable. Maybe my head is too big, idk lol
  25. The Desert Tech bolt actions really catch my eye, definitely curious about their autos.
