Milspec Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) I'm just trying to gauge current Carrier Comp wait times/eta. If you received your tube in October when did you place your order? Edited October 30, 2021 by Milspec Quote
Unobtanium Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Everything I do is latley. Pull-ups and hangs are life. Quote
Doge Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 I have an invoice from August. They might have already called me for payment, but I get a few dozen spam calls a day so IDK. 1 Quote

StrangerDanger Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 (edited) Marcy will leave you a voicemail if you have that option available. I’m seeing 4-5 months lately. I do know a guy with a muted finished one that he wants to sell. Edited October 30, 2021 by StrangerDanger 1 Quote
Treetommy Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 I placed an order for a full length tube August 3rd I haven’t heard anything yet. I don’t think I’ve missed their call, I usually answer my phone but I don’t have my voice mail set up. I deal with spam calls accord to my mood ?. 1 Quote
Milspec Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 Ok, sounds like we have a ways to go. No big deal I just wanted to take the temperature. I placed my order on August 1st. Maybe Dec/January.... Quote
rubicon20032003 Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 There like 5-6 months behind.Just wait they’ll call you.I’ve bought maybe 10 tubes off them over the years 1 Quote
CobraBG Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 I ordered mine back in April and received it in October. Marcy was good at communicating and it looks great. I haven't had time to install it yet. 1 Quote
Milspec Posted October 31, 2021 Author Posted October 31, 2021 It's amazing there are that many M4's out there in need of tubes. Between CC and FFT they can't quench the thirst. That's a lot of M4 shotties. Quote
CobraBG Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 I need to decide if I want to sell my factory 7 round tube or keep it. Usually when I modify a firearm I keep the factory parts. Quote
Bolt_308 Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 I ordered one about 2 months ago, so since I figure I still had a while to wait, I went ahead and kept the order, and also bought the Briley carbon fiber tube, which was in stock and shipped right away. Briley tube is very nice- once I get the Carrier Comp I will compare and then decide which one to keep . . . Quote

That's a lot of M4 shotties. I'm surprised Nordic Components hasn't entered the market since they are basically tooled up for long tubular parts. FFT would be last on my list since their 230$ steel tube is the same price as Carrier Comp's 230$ titanium tube. Even Dave Metal works steel tube is pretty decent at 115$. 1 Quote

Nordic sure likes making those extensions. FFT tubes are spendy but then again he out sources everything so that adds to the cost. Where CC machines, coats, makes his own as far as I know. Quote
Doge Posted October 31, 2021 Posted October 31, 2021 FFT has it priced what the market is willing to pay. He knows people who buy Benelli M4 stuff has deep pockets?. Quote
CobraBG Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 I know that CC does their own work. Marcy had explained to me that she and Kip do all the work themselves. They had hired people to help in the past but were not satisfied with the workmanship. She told me that she even runs the lathe sometimes. They are very focused on quality which obviously increases lead time. 1 Quote
Kahamu Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 I ordered a spring not too long ago from them. Kip called me and explained Marcy was on vacation. Took a little over a week for them to ship the spring to me. Quote
CobraBG Posted November 1, 2021 Posted November 1, 2021 (edited) Yes they are worth the wait!! Edited November 1, 2021 by CobraBG Quote

Triode Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Mine is 22 August; still waiting to hear. I picked up a couple from DMW and used those. Keeping the CC one alive in case I decide on another M4. Quote
Juliett Whiskey Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 I received mine way past the expected/anticipated date. I believe there were some Covid illnesses issues… HOWEVER, CC was very professional, straight forward and well worth the wait! Install was pretty easy. Just a heads up, the new follower is packed inside the shipping tube at the top.. kinda stealthy how it’s packed in there! Quote

CobraBG Posted November 9, 2021 Posted November 9, 2021 I did receive the email before mine shipped. 2 Quote
