UNSC_WARRIOR Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 September 26th 08 Result : 4 Mallards, 1 Black Duck Note : Federal BlackCloud 3" #2 shot with a Mod choke destroyed a duck @ +/-10yds. I don't know if any other cartridge would have done the same but I was pretty amazed. See picture below... Quote

The 2 pictures limit is really annoying... Quote
Novaking Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Is that a supernova steady grip? How do you like grip shooting birds? I heard of some guys using them for waterfowl. Nice hunt Quote
UNSC_WARRIOR Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 I'm a pistol grip man. I got my SteadyGrip Stock before I even got my gun. Seriously. I find it really useful in the blind. It allows you to hold your gun more naturally when the birds are comming in. When I bought my SN it came with the ComforTech stock. I immediately took it off and bolted the SteadyGrip on. Quote
tucker301 Posted October 30, 2008 Author Posted October 30, 2008 Great pics, UNSC! Thanks for sharing, and we hope to see more from you guys this year! We get back into them on Nov. 15th, but my primary focus until then will be the whitetails with my new smokeless smokepole Quote
sdkidaho Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Got my first Drake Green-Winged Teal. Not an awesome specimen but it was cool to finally get one. Quote
TMAC Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Show me a Drake Canvasback then you really got somthing Season on cans is closed here in WI. Quote
tucker301 Posted November 10, 2008 Author Posted November 10, 2008 If I'm not mistaken, the Canvasbacks are off-limits across the US this year. Meanwhile Canucks are enjoying a 7 bird limit Quote
Webfoot Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Finally made it out this year... The homemade layout boat worked perfectly. My poor dog was not used to birds getting so close. She about went nuts. Quote
sdkidaho Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Yeah, there are only one or two states you can get the Canvasbacks in and Idaho isn't one of them. Quote
FranchiFowler Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 where at in MO you hunting at webfoot?? the mallards I've gotten didn't look near as pretty as yours Quote

Webfoot Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Middle Zone.... One of the drakes was still in partial eclipse plumage. Pretty dark still. I don't need no stinking GPS... Quote

tucker301 Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 Let's don't start that argument here. If it's legal, it's legal. Quote
