Small update. After a long 4-5 months since I initially started this project, I am happy to say, the tubes are machined and completed. Im hoping to get them off for heat treating next week, then PVD finishing thereafter, slowly but surely...2 points

yeah man I know exactly what you mean. Outside it is much more noticeable. I wanted a BLACK M4 ( like advertised not a blue one. It makes me so mad that you have to think about reanodizing it to get it right. What makes me the most mad is that they made no mention of this. Geissele s adozing has varying shades but they tell you this upfront. When i order a black shotgun i want a black shotgun. I sold mine and got a H20 one. You could always order a h20 one and switch thee stocks and sell the 1014. That way you d have a h20 with collipsable stock. I did this and just sold the 1014 about 250 less.1 point

About a yr ago I order a black M4 and am so excited to get it. I get it and it is a bright blue. I hated it and was super mad. I sold it and ordered another black one. Figuring the first one was a fluke......nope the second was blue also ( little darker shade but blue ). The blue is much more noticable outside. Some people like the blue but not me. I hate it and pretty mad that a 2k shotgun doesn t look like advertised. I sold thee second one and bought a H20. When your selling a shotgun that cost 2k plus the colors should be consistent. It is so weird that you ll see some black ones out there but for the past couple yrs the blue is everywhere.1 point

I am in for one...the current 3 options on my tube none seem to be "perfect". Thanks for your help with payment on the other items yesterday...probably a short between the keyboard and the chair.1 point

Cerakote polymer-ceramic coating (like really expensive paint lol). CLP is a lubricant. So I'm confused. Did you mean DLC? PVD?1 point

All it's doing is bumping the carrier enough to unlock the bolt. The recoil/expanding gas are doing the rest. So for most of it's operation/cycling, the inertia guns and the Argo system aren't very different, just in what gets the bolt unlocked.1 point

I have an as new IWC mount to sell, but the two times I went to list it, other people had just posted one. Now I'm not 100% sure where it is. lmao1 point

There's an ass for every seat. I'd love to have one of my Benelli's that color. lol1 point

I just picked up an 11721 yesterday and have been on here looking around also... It seems that GG&G has an option: https://www.gggaz.com/benelli-m4-accessories.html IWC has a couple of options: https://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/myshop/product/view/my/category/benelli-m4/ OR you can change out the foregrip for a rail system...it appears there are a few choices folks like: Agency Arms - appears very difficult to source Briley - https://www.briley.com/p-63643-briley-3gun-m-lok-handguard-benelli-m4.aspx Midwest Industries: https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/product-p/mi-benm4-hg.htm There are a few other models but appear to be not as well liked as the above...once you go with the m-lok setup there are a couple of options: Arisaka: https://arisakadefense.com/inline-scout-mount-m-lok/ T-Rex: https://www.trex-arms.com/store/Lightbar-Scout-Mount/ That is all I have found but I just joined this forum today and have only got about an hour or so digging into it...maybe a more experienced member will fix what I have broken!1 point

They are nice. The surface hardness on them is the best I’ve seen. Even the oem hammers get dented up by slapping the bolt carrier over and over. The Geissele doesn’t show any wear marks. I wouldn’t pay the insane prices people sell them for though. If Geissele was producing more, I’d buy them for my builds.1 point

Yeah, so bad news: it does not work. I only made 1 batch of these hammers, so I know they are identical, and I've been selling them for a while with no issues, then suddenly in the past month, I've had 4 people with issues. #4, I thought to ask him if his gun was new, and it was. I'm leaning towards something changed slightly in the trigger group for new guns. I can see two ways to make it work, neither great: 1. The trigger is not going far enough forward to allow reset. Forward travel is controlled by a notch in the back of the trigger, and there is a pin (smaller than the notch) that goes through the notch, so the notch limits both forward and rearward max positions. Dunno if the notch is too small, or the pin is in the wrong location, or has casting flash, but taking some material off the top of the notch would allow the trigger to swing slightly further forward. This is probably my favorite technical solution, but I advertise these hammers as 'drop-in', so I do not like asking a customer to modify their gun so my hammer fits. 2. You can take material off the back hook of the hammer. Not a fan of this one either, because messing with the sear geometry can lead to bad consequences if it is not done correctly. Naturally, I'll refund anyone who has issues, so no one will be out anything. I find this product especially frustrating, because Benelli has different dimensions between the metal trigger housing and the plastic, and now it looks like differences within the plastic housings.1 point

Here is a shot of a stock handle, FFT titanium and the carriercomp titanium/steel handle. They’re nice handles, well designed and perfect craftsmanship. Personally I don’t like knurling on the handle though. When you’re slapping the handle fast, it can tear up your hands.1 point

Color match of the carriercomp is better than even the OEM tubes. The paint on the FFT tubes is significantly different. Weight spec is about the same. FFT costs more and does not come with a US made follower or a Wolff spring. The threading on the carriercomp tubes is done better. FFT can be backordered deep as well. I like FFT products, but when it comes to magazine tubes, carriercomp tubes are the best by a wide margin. I’ve brought probably 40 of them personally over the years and never once had a problem.1 point

Just looked at Taran Tactical's website. They make a charging handle, and he's won National championships, so I'd probably be stepping out of my lane thinking I can do better. Based on my engineering degree and being a HP competitor, I know I can make a better trigger than anyone else out there, but something where you need to be an active 3-gun shooter to know, and I'm not ... that takes a little more arrogance than I like to swing. Who knows, maybe a winter project, though if I made a roller, it'd be Delrin or aluminum, not Titaniun. Ti is sexy and all, but this is not a part that needs strength, and for a weight savings of fractions of an ounce, not worth it.1 point

NiB is much better for triggers than NP3. Teflon will not stand up to the high pressures generated on sear edges. NiB is upwards of 70Rc hardness. That said, DLC is even lower friction, so I've been curious to experiment - maybe this is the project. Not sure about charging handles, I know how to make good triggers, and it seems everyone and his brother is making charging handles because it does not take much skill. What is your definition of 'badass' when it comes to charging handles? Is there something that other options do not offer>1 point

Here ya go. The thing about Kip's charging handle is that the detents on the shank match OEM.1 point

I have seen several sell at this price point in the last year. So it’s what the market will bare. They are the absolute best hammer out there. They don’t deform like the OEM and FFT hammers from impacting on the along the face where it makes contact with the bolt carrier. If you shoot the M4 a lot, you’ll start to see the hammer face deform, I have posted pictures of this in the past. The sear engagement is larger and provides for a really nice safe hammer release. It’s geissele quality in the golden era of Geissele. It’s going to be tough to beat. They’re super rare these days, I only see a handful pop up for sale here and there. I mix them in with FFT components, I’ve even plated a few in NP3 to make them even better. I kick myself for not clearing out an online store who had 13 a few years back.1 point
