I'll try not to be too snarky here. I shoot skeet and trap and know the type of person who's complaining. That's all I'll say about that part. I had a similar situation when folks complained that my 21" M1 was too loud. My solution to them and my recommendation for you is to tell them to get the heck over it. You're welcome.

First of all, the SBEII field gun isn't set up to readily accept an optic. You'll either have to drill and tap the receiver to install a rail to mount it on, or get something like a Burris Speedbead that mounts between the stock and the receiver. There are other receiver-mounted options. None of these is optimal for what you envision. Putting a rail on top of the receiver will interfere with your sighting for clays or birds even when you take the sight off. The T1 doesn't come with a quick-release mount so you'd have to go with something like a Larue or ADM QR mount. That puts the sight even higher and you've lost your cheek weld on the stock for accurate shooting. And the rail would still be there when you take it off. The Burris-type option still requires you to take the stock off to remove the sight. I don't recommend moving an optic around from gun to gun. You're going to have to sight it in for each different move. Personally, I think that's more trouble than it's worth. The T1 would be a stout enough sight to handle the shotgun. Trijicon RMR is another. I have a RMR on one of my M1's and it does great for what I use it for. There are other optics options from Leupold, Doctor and others.

OK, here's some input. * Cutting the barrel down will not "affect the integrity of the barrel with certain shells". *If you re-read the manual it says not to use the full or improved modified chokes to shoot steel shot. Those chokes are tighter than the others, not "bigger". Tighter chokes shouldn't be used with steel because steel doesn't compress like lead does when it goes through the choke and you could end up damaging the choke or even the whole barrel. *If you want to turn your nova into a home defense gun, either get another barrel for it or trade your field gun for a tactical model.

At nearly a buck a round for bulk? That's still some nutso prices there.

Since your pic is a little fuzzy, take a close look at the stud itself and see if there are flat surfaces there. One of my older ones was made that way. Unless you have a compelling reason to take it apart, I would leave it alone and install your new stock.

How/can you remove part #067u (slign ring) on M2?
truckcop replied to TheHolyCannoli's topic in Benelli
I believe it's held on by a snap-ring. The ring expands, comes out of its groove and the sling attachment will come off. If I recall correctly, the snap-ring doesn't have holes that you can use the snap-ring pliers on in the usual manner. I think you can get a regular set of thin needle nose pliers in between the two ends of the ring and spread them apart. -
pics would help.

If you look at the Italian Benelli website you'll find that the D shim is available "on request". Looks like a special order item that you might not even be able to get here in the US. I'd call them again. http://www.benelli.it/en/products/semiautomatic-shotguns/montefeltro/montefeltro-20

Cast Shim for Super Sport - Lefty Shooting a Right Handed Gun
truckcop replied to Steinmaster's topic in Benelli
Yes that is correct. Adjustment for cast on (left) or cast off (right) is made independent of whether the shotgun action is left or right. -
Yes they're legal. Find a gunsmith who knows about them to check it out. Good luck finding ammo.
-
Back orders? Yes, it's true. $1199 about right. MSRP is what it says: "suggested"

At least 3 NIB currently on GB. Check your spelling on Montefeltro. That may be why you didn't find others. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=328998260 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=329197368 http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=329344276

I always start with the shotgun butt at waist level before mounting it but our skeet operation can't throw them as fast as in International Skeet. It does look quite challenging.

I would call Benelli customer service. They can answer your question and probably provide you with the shim & appropriate plate that goes with it, assuming there is one. Maybe even without charge.
-
Most online dealers are in the same boat that your dealer is in. They all get them from a distributor. There are so many back-orders that they're not taking any new ones. You picked a bad time to try and buy from ANY dealer, local or online.

It's not uncommon for O/U shooters to have an extended and flush choke.

I prefer Surefire rail covers - I use them on all my rifles http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/stock-forend-parts/forend-rail-parts/rail-covers/ar-15-m16-z70-rail-covers-prod45102.aspx?ttver=1

Not necessarily. Station 1 high house is a going away shot that starts dropping after a bit. Novice shooters (like this twerp) usually wait too long to get on it and will be pulling the trigger at a position represented in the photo. Station 1 low house could look like this if he's getting on it quick (not likely for a novice, like this twerp).

Scary!!!
-
Watch position - not necessarily. I'm a lefty and that's how I wore mine before I retired. Took it off, haven't worn it since. He writes left handed so I'm assuming he's left-dominant. Oh, what a surprise!!

Ported barrel
-
Under those circumstances I would lock it up in my safe. You've got a safe, right?
-
So, how far does it slide? An inch? Five or six inches? Where is it catching? It went on over the magazine so it has to come off that way. The forend comes off as you slide it and the barrel forward. You are trying to take both off, right?

M2 tactical sights with field barrel...what are the options?
truckcop replied to TheHolyCannoli's topic in Benelli
No, the rear GR sight will interfere with the ability to properly look down the rib of a field barrel. -
M4 ejection port/action metal mashed from spent shells
truckcop replied to forzArmata's topic in Benelli
Y'a know, I had those nearly exact same words down and then cancelled because the last time I made a comment like that I got jumped all over. For the record, +1.
