    Ammo For M4

Found Rem. 00 police buck 9 pellet full house load for 150.00 a 10 box case, 25 rds a box. Anbody found anything better? Also, I'm trying to find the Federal Tru-ball slugs for a reasonable case price. These slugs are supposed to be the sh*t. Thanks.
  3. I've talked about this before and I really want to short bbl my M4. The 11724 14" entry gun is supposedly different in some respects- maybe the forearm grips lol. Has anyone here had an 11707 bbl cut down? I'm wondering about the locking collar being moved and the front sights being moved. I want to be able to switch back and forth from 14" to factory 18.5". Briley Mfg has said they will ATTEMPT it, but would have to look at it first. I already have two M4's and don't need a 3rd (11724) that maybe won't even accept an 11707 bbl. into the receiver. You can pm me if you don't feel you would want to dicuss this on the main forum. Surely someone has looked hard at this and knows if it is possible. Thanks for any assistance.
  4. I noticed one of my M4 shotguns the foregrips were a ***** to get on, and did not FULLY seat correctly. I called Benelli and they had me give the serial number to my gun and said that they would send me the correct forearm grips and a CYL choke for my trouble. I am pretty happy with the cust. serv. I received. Just a heads up on this for all you M4'ers out there. Happy shooting!
  5. Ya, the avg. person out there has no idea about guns. Like you said Liberty, they think handguns are these super high power weapons that they have no chance against. Gun people would know to RUN! Heprobably wouldn't be able to hit somebody running and zigging & zagging. Also, only experienced shooters would know to charge him while he is reloading. Hindsight is 20/20; who knows how any one of us would have done in the extreme shock and surprise of the moment. One thing for sure though, depriving people of an effective means of defence is NOT the answer! Think if even one person there had been armed, the whole outcome might have been less tragic.
  6. Fowling=fun; Fouling=not fun... ha ha. Ya, that's fouling allright, no big deal.
  7. Hey Palidin, Why don't you take your part and stick it where the sun don't shine. Smart*ss
  8. Um, I'm pretty sure you might be thinking of a Bernadelli. They make expensive shotguns and also make different types of handguns, from their diminutive classic .25- unimportable after the '68 ban to nice target .22's. I haven't seen any .22 mags, but who knows.
  9. Yeah I've got 2 of them and want to short barrel one of them. I think the 11-12" guns are too short because then you can't just switch back and forth between barrels because the mag tube is cut. Plus, velocity would probably suffer. They say below 18" you start losing a lot of velocity. Not to mention muzzle blast, recoil, ect.
  10. The Commando's right your CYL ( cylinder choke ) is your go to choke for a combat shottie. However, a Skeet choke ( the next constriction up ) is also most excellent for buckshot and even slugs. EVERY GUN IS DIFFERENTE!. this goes for loads too. About the tightest choke I would use for buckshot is Improved cylinder choke. With good buckshot you should be able to hit at 45-50 yards. Any tighter on the choke, like the stupid modified that comes with the gun will probably open up your pattern with 00 buck. Just my .02.
  11. Mostly Liberty, it's just the neato factor and because... well, we just want one. I didn't realize you were 16. Thanks cool to see a younger guy who's into guns and stuff.
  12. H*ll, I'm in too. Maybe we can get a group buy...lol!!!
  13. Wow, seems like those were only a hundie not too long ago!
  14. It wuold be handy in a vehicle, or just carrying around. Plus you have 4 in the mag (I think) +1+1. 6 rds. in a small pkg. If you had a subgun- not nearly as effective IMHO- you would probably only get about 6 bursts b-4 a reload, admittedly a much faster prospect with a subgun, if the guy with the benelli didn't kill you b-4 you got to reload. With the barrel cut down to 12" and no locking collar will this SBS hold up to much firing?
  15. Dude, your one erudite son of a gun. It looks like it might be easier to do the Israeli SF SBS. What is the capacity with this gun? It looks like 4 in the mag? How many inches is the barrel? Will it hold up without a locking collar? One bad thing though is your going to lose a lot of velocity!
  16. Does anyone else think that the handguards on the M4 are friggen Micky Mouse? And they are a PAIN to get back on the gun. Why didn't they design a one piece forearm like every other Benelli? Damnit.
  17. I don't know, but I've been dealing with them since '88 and have allways been happy. They have gotten so popular now though, their prices have shot through the roof. Just Google Briley and you will bring them up. If I'm not mistaken they actually make beretta and benelli chokes for the factory.
  18. Yep, this is the probably the #1 reason a Benelli will start jamming even when it's been "cleaned".
  19. Oh, and as far as chokes go Commando's is right on IMHO cyl. choke,i.e. no choke is usually best for slugs and close range 00 work. However, sometimes a skeet choke works better. For Buckshot, especially the larger sizes mod. is pushing it, cyl., skeet, imp. cyl., and a light mod. will probably be your best selections with Briley making some excellent chokes.
  20. I've been hunting with Benellis since the early nineties. It's not a rifle. The beauty of a Benelli is you don't need to clean it after 2 boxes. Clean it Twice a year if you shoot it a lot. You can tell when a Benelli needs to be cleaned because you can feel the bolt slow down when you fire. Once a year you need to clean the recoil spring tube because otherwise you will start jamming even with everything else spotless. Ask me how I know this. One caveat, this info does not apply to super high volume Argentina type shooting or constant clay shooting, then you need to clean about every 500 or so rounds if it's humid.
  21. Hey guys, There really is no FACTORY short barrels. All Benelli short barrels are cut down from regular length ones by Benelli gunsmiths here in the US. The ATF will not allow italy to ship in short barrels. I called Benelli to try and get a cut down barrel and they refered me to Beretta defense and I have not been able to get a response from them yet. If this fails I will get Briley Mfc. to do it. I think I'm looking at about 400.00 + 200.00 tax stamp. Pretty spendy to give up 2 shots, so I'm not sure it's worth it, particularly in lieu of the fact I have to get another regular length barrel so I can switch back and forth.
  22. Hey Liberty, I betcha he's got a tax stamp on the gun, but I really don't care and neither does anybody else except ATF.Are you ATF Liberty, cause if you are, your gonna have to change your friggen name.
  23. Call me @ 281-224-2934. Thanks.
  24. Yeah, you can't afford it because our WORTHLESS GOV"T restricts your RIGHT to keep and bear arms. Sorry, but that's the facts jack! Or like the late Frank Zappa said in song, " as it applies to you and me our country isn't free ".
