  1. You didn't have a Factory 2 shot ext. then because the barrel slides right off just like the full length tube. I've never taken off my ext. to clean my shotguns. Some of the after market ext. have this problem where the barrel won't come off without taking off the ext. first.
  2. It's better than a louisville slugger.
  3. The cast shim will only give you a 1/4" or so of cast on, or cast off. Sometimes the stock has to be inletted to move the buttstock further in one way or the other. A rear stock on a shotgun is like the rear sight on a rifle. If you move the rear stock to the right (cast off), the gun will shoot to the right. If you move the stock to the left (cast on), the gun will shoot to the left. If you move the stock down, i.e. increase the (drop) it will shoot lower. If you move the stock up, the gun will shoot higher. Most men will shoot a "C" or "D" drop shim and more women will tend to shoot an "A" or a "B" drop shim. As a stock gets longer it increases the drop and cast the further you get from the wrist, or the start of the comb.
  4. Your getting your Liberal Demo's mixed up. It was Jimmy Carter that "gave " away the Panama Canal.
  5. Obama, has never met a gun control bill he didn't like. He gets an F from the NRA just the same as Hillary. Both would be a disaster for Gun Owners of all types. Rudy is just as anti gun as any liberal Dem. As Mayor of NY he was instrumental in leading the vanguard of cities that tried to sue the gun companies out of business. He also led rallies for the Brady's and Hangun Control. The only pro gunners are Huckabee and Paul now that Thompson is out. Romney also supported restrictive gun control as Governer of Mass.and supports renewing the '94 Ban and making it permanent. McCain is on the fence, NRA gives him a C.
  6. Rooster Man, sorry your having trouble with your 20ga. If your 20ga. Montefeltro is not cycling a 7/8 load, then its either dirty Or f*cked up. The 20ga Montefeltro is MADE TO FUNCTION WITH 7/8oz. LOADS. This is a std. load for a 20ga. If you are shooting the Win. Super Speed loads they sell at Wally World you are shooting a 3/4oz. load and no, they don't cycle 100%. If your gun has worked in the past reliably, then I bet you money that your recoil tube assembly is gunked up. A Benelli will jam like crazy if you don't clean the recoil tube out even though the chamber and action is spotlessly clean (its a recoil operated gun). To clean your recoil tube, take off your stock and take out your trigger group. Take your bolt assembly and stick it in your receiver while pulling the bolt back to depress the plunger on your recoil spring. Now, squirt some d*mn brake cleaner (non chlorinated and don't get it on your wood) into the recoil tube till it comes out the little hole on your recoil tube clean (stick the blast nozzle stem into the slot on your bolt tail). Work the bolt vigorously in and out the action and that will get out the residual brake cleaner. Now, you need to squirt a 2-3 second blast of Breakfree or your lubricant of choice into the recoil tube assembly. Just remember that you have to insert that black "tail" on your bolt back into the recoil tube to get anything in there past the plunger. Now set your gun on some newspapers for a day and let the residual lube drain. Before you put it back together, work that bolt into the recoil tube and you will see some more of the breakfree get pumped out. Depending on humidity and so on, you have to do this about one time a year if you shoot a lot. Good luck and happy hunting.
  7. Have you actually tried this, my man?
  8. I like the Factory +2 extension because I like to be able to config. back to factory quickly if I need to... ah, you know what I mean. My ext. DOES NOT interfere with take down at all. I can slide the barrel right of with no problem. Surely someone makes a similar ext? What a bunch of retards to design a mag ext. the damn bbl. won't slide over, Jeesh. All they had to do was copy the Benelli one. Oh, and the Benelli one DOESN"t say Benelli anywhere on it. It coulda' been made by Billy Bob.
  9. Get a Burris Fastfire red dot to mount on your pic rail (it comes off real easy when your done with slugs).Natchez has em for 159.99 comparable to a Doctor Optic at 400.00. An EOtech or Aimpoint regular(not the micro) sits too high for a good cheek weld. Then get a rifled choke tube from Briley Mfg. or someone else. Then get you some Federal TruBall slugs and you too can kill a deer at 75yrd and maybe farther. The Winchester Slugs & buckshot is fun to shoot but the quality is crap. You friggen be lucky to keep 5 shots in a paper plate at 40 yards. At least in my 2 M4's. These damn M4's are truly versatile for turkey, deer AND they work pretty good on liquor store jobs as well.
  10. Take the buttpad off first. Use a med. size phillips and dip it in vaseline (so it doesn't rip or enlarge your stock screw holes in buttpad) Then do as they say above and yes its a 13mm deep socket. Don't tump over the gun when you loosen, just ease the stock right off and you'll see how the shims & locking plate washers ect. are on there. Now the cleaning part. With your stock off cause this WILL damage to your wood stock take out your trigger assembly (fire control group, FCG). Now,place your gun with the stock/recoil spring tube on a stack of newspaper and put your bolt with the bolt handle in and slide the male or 'tail' of your bolt back into the recoil spring about an inch or two. Just like your gonna cycle the action cause you are(note: if you let the bolt go to far forward you have to reinsert the "tail" of the bolt) Take a can of brake cleaner w/ the stream attachment and spray till you see the cleaner is coming out the hole in the recoil/stock tube clean. Work the bolt vigorously and "pump" out the residual cleaner in your tube so it doesn't kill your wood later. Now, do the same thing with some kind of CLP (Breakfree, ect.) and spray about a 2-3 second burst in the recoil tube with the bolt tail in there. The bolt tail has a slot in it btw, where you can stick the nozzle attachment of your can in. Now, vigorously work the bolt till all the extra CLP is pumped out of the hole in your recoil tube. If you don't place the bolt tail in the recoil tube you can't get anything to go back in there because the recoil spring has a plunger on the end that seals when the recoil spring is relaxed. This whole process should only take about 20-30min. Let your gun rest in the corner over night and the next day take your bolt and pump the rest of the CLP out of the recoil tube and remount your stock. If you haven't guessed it allready, the recoil spring on a Montefeltro doesn't come off, or apart.
  11. I'm wondering about the engraving myself. Where are you guys engraving- barrel or receiver? And don't anyone start with the "you don't have to engrave B.S.. You definitely HAVE to engrave. This is why I think I'll just do the barrel instead of the receiver. With that israeli SF mod. looks like only 4 in mag, right?

    Lube

Militec-1!!! It's the sheiss. You can also just leave the gun in the sun or on your dash, in a safe place of course.
  13. Where are you engraving? Receiver or barrel? Thanks.
  14. A SBE with a 26" barrel will be the approximate length of a 30" O/U. Yes, that's right 30".

    m2 or sbe2

Ok, I'm 44 years old. I've killed a million ducks. I would go with the M2 Camo. You don't need the 3.5 shell for Ducks. ****, I've gone back to 2.75" shells with excellent results. If you can't kill a duck with a 3" shell, you've missed that duck. 3.5 for Geese- maybe, but I still don't buy it. One more thing, an M2 with it's 3" chamber is going to handle AND SWING BETTER than a 3.5" SBE II chamber gun. Also the total length of the SBE II will be longer. And clean, C'mon!
  16. The Beretta because it's a gas gun. But its gonna be more of a pain to clean and not be able to fire as many rounds without cleaning.

    Tatical sights

If you have the money. you need a Doctor Optic red dot in a 3.5moa or for combat a 7 moa dot. If you want a good copy of a Doctor which is made in Germany, get a Burris Fastfire with the 4moa dot. These are the sh_t on a SMG and they hold up to constant full auto fire. Screw the EOTech on a M4 shotgun-real good on an AR or M16, but not on a shottie. Its a good sight, but rides high and clumsy on a shottie, but the Doctor's better on an M4 or a Submachinegun, small, light. and EXTREMELY TOUGH. These are the sights you see in subgun matches. I can't recommend one enough!
  18. Get her a Montefeltro Super 90 in a .20 ga short stock youth. Get the forcing cones lengthened and bbl ported with a Kick-Eez pad. Shoot anything with this gun that flies- I know cause my wife has for the last 10 years. She's a one gun shooter and those are the ones to look out for.

    M3 or the M4

As long as your using 3 dram of powder and 1 1/8 oz. of shot you should be ok. One of mine will even shoot 7/8 oz of shot for awhile, till it gets real dirty. Have you cleaned your gun good, including the recoil tube?
  20. Clean the threads of your barrel threads with the other end of your choke tool. You just screw it in all the way. Clean the choke with brake cleaner and then lube it lightly. Then crank down your choke tight- not as hard as you can, but pretty tight. A little harder than you would crank down on a spark plug. It shouldn't shoot loose for awhile, but you DO need to check it while shooting. Sometimes mod works for slugs in some guns and with some brands, but usually an IC or SKEET works better. A CYL. choke will be good only for close entry type scenarios, i.e., your typical home protection type deal, unless your using the flight control wad ammo and then you get tight groups no matter what the choke. The best slugs are the Federal Tru-Ball slugs in a smooth non rifled bore. They also make rifled choke tubes as well so you can shoot sabot slugs with your M4. Hope this helps.
  21. This stuff is so good it's almost unbelievable till you see it! Clean your gun with any type of solvent, I use Hoppe's #9 because I always have, then wipe the gun down with Militec-1 (all metal parts including the recoil tube and stock tube if you have the adjustable stock) and then put the gun out in the hot sun on your back porch, dashboard, ect. The Militec has to get like 115 degrees, or something to bond to the metal. Leave the rubber parts off in the sun. You won't believe how good your gun will funtion after using this stuff. I started out using this stuff in my machine gun and then now I use in everything. No, I have no financial connection with Militec-1. I just think it's the best thing since sliced bread and want to share with my Benelli brothers. The other thing I've found is to put a little Armour All on your recoil pads and on the M4 adj. stock. Keeps it looking purdy and protected (especially since they are so hard to get).
  22. Try a IC for foster type slugs. Sometimes the CYL chks will work too. More often than not a IC or LT MOD or a MOD will work. Try em all. The best would probably be a rifled choke tube from briley in houston ( I haven't tried this though) A slug has to to be constricted slightly for the built in "rifling" to get the slug spinning, but you don't want to squeeze the slug too much, or the slug will get deformed enough to give you a flyer. One of my guns will give good groups 5-6 inches with any choke up to mod. and the other gun isn't worth a sh*t with slugs. Go figure. Maybe I havn't found the right brand or weight, yet. I think I'll try the rifled choke tube with that gun and see what I can do. I've heard great things about the Fed. TruBall slugs. Good luck.
  23. Well I never had the Nodakspud +2, so what do I know. If you want the factory +2, email me and I will tell you how to get one, or else get socomguys tube.
  24. My factory 2 shot extensions both came out of the Benelli shrink wrap package, the tubes doesn't have ANY markinks that I've been able to see that indicate any particular manufacturer. The finish is not to good and doesn't match the recoil tube at all. The barrel DOES slide over the ext. though so you don't have to remove it every time you take off your bbl. to clean or inspect. W/O the package I don't even know how a guy would prove that those ext. are really factory Benelli. Maybe someone can enlighten me?
  25. Mike R, Dude that seems like a real fair price...LOL!!!
