  1. I'll be real interested to see what this stock brings in.
  2. Uh... that's NOT a fake skeleton stock. Now you owe a couple of us a beer.
  3. I thought I'd give you Guy's a crack at it before I put it on GB, or the dreaded eGay. Yep, this is the much lauded and hard to find Benelli part#70085 OEM Telescoping Pistol Grip Stock. It is in the original box and has NEVER been mounted or used. I did open the box to inspect contents. I need $700 for it. If you also want an OEM Part #81043P Tube Magazine EXT 2rd M1014/M4, I will cut you a deal 900.00 for both, brand new, Shipped & Ins Fedex. This EXT is New in the Shrinkwrap/cardboard Benelli packaging. For you skittish guys, this is the way to go because you can switch back and forth between 5 shot prosthetic tube that comes with the gun, or the Benelli EXT. You just unscrew the fake one and screw on the real one. There is a friction ring that has to be removed and reinstalled. In addition, You can take off your barrel without removing the Factory Ext-unlike some of the other aftermarket EXT. I have two other SLIGHTLY used Factory Ext for sale as well. $250 ea. Shipped and Insured. These are the same as above. I would call them in like new in condition. I still have the original Benelli packaging. As you know these things don't grow on trees.
  4. This all goes back to the Blackpowder Days. Back in the Blackpowder Days, which lasted through WWI for shotshells, you needed a long barrel >30" to develop full velocity because of the propellent. Also, with a longer barrel you could make a longer taper on the choke, which prevents scrubbing of the lead shot (the lead shot get deformed and cuases flyers in the pattern). Additionally, a longer choke and forcing cone prevent "set-back". this is when the shot hits a constriction and the back of the shot column rams into the front of the shot column and once again you get deformed shot. This is why your typical .410 has pattern issues from the get go. Fast forward to today and you still have people that believe that you have to have a long barrel for a shotgun to have "knock down power" and be effective. After all this is what Old Grandad said, right. Well, not anymore. From a velocity standpoint: this is outdated. There ARE ,however, reasons that you might want to have a longer barrel though, velocity not being one of them. Number one, would be for longer shots it helps to have a longer barrel because even though your not sighting down the barrel and you have both eyes open and are focusing on the target, your subconscious brain is aware of the blurred barrel and helps you to hit and track moving targets at longer ranges. It also does one more very important thing- it keeps you from stopping your swing and shooting behind the bird. So, no you don't need more than about 14" of barrel to reach max velocity with modern shotshells. it does help your lead shot patterns to have longer forcing cones and longer chokes though, although this doesn't matter at all with steel shot or tungsten because the shot is so hard it can't deform from barrel, forcing cone, or choke scrubbing, nor is "set back" an issue. Lastly, an auto or pump, especially a 3.5" gun like a SBE with its super long receiver doesn't need as long a barrel as a O/U which has a short receiver. Take a 24" SBE and put it beside a 28" O/U and see just how long that SBE is in OAL. It is longer because of the receiver. A 28" barrel Auto, or pump is a long gun, especially if it's a 3.5" receiver magnum. That being said, a lot of shooting is psychological and if you believe something works for you, it probably does. The old placebo effect.
  5. Benelli's kick worse than a gas gun like Beretta. I started shooting Benelli's along time ago-1993. The Comfort Tech Stock and the New Recoil Pads help a lot. We used to just slap a Kick-eez pad on them. Benelli's will run longer without cleaning than a gas gun and are far easier to clean. Felt recoil on a gas gun feels less to the shooter and that's what we're talking about- felt recoil.
  6. Has anybody done any extensive testing to see what the good Buckshot/Turkey Chokes are. I know a lot of these after market chokes are a lot of hype and advertising. I have a stand that I will get shots at 50-60 yards sometimes on both Turkeys and Deer. I usually shoot deer with a DSA FAL SA-58 Tactical Carbine, but I would like to use one of my 11707's this season as well.
  7. Porting will help with muzzle flip. Benelli's just kick. Most people shoot way too much shell anyway. I found I could kill ducks just as dead with a 2.75" shell and I didn't need a 3" shell. If you really want to kill them just use some of the tungsten, or other no-tox shell that have more density than lead. It kills em like the old days and without so much recoil.
  8. Screw the NRA! They roll over every chance they get. They rolled over in 86', 94' and they were AGAINST the filing of the Heller Case. Then again, so was George Bush. I don't care if the Fudd's keep there friggen hunting guns. For me, its all about semi auto and full auto military weapons that you can not only use to hunt and outshoot the avg. off the shelf bolt gun, but you can take that same weapon into combat to defend the Homeland, or your family. When the time comes- and it will come. The NRA abandoned me and my kind a long time ago. Buncha Fudds! There are other gun rights groups that are good. One that I like is JPFO (Jews for the protection of Firearms Ownership).
  9. If you want a collapsible, your never gonna see a cheaper price than this. I paid this much for one over TWO YEARS ago. I was going to sell one of mine, but if this is all they are going for I'll just keep the freakin' thing along with the factory extension.
  10. Don't do it. You'll regret it later.
  11. For all the uber Liberal head in the clouds people, who ask, "why do you need a gun like that". This is the answer.
  12. I would probably get the M2 with a 26" barrel if your a hunter and get an extra 18" barrel for defense or 3 gun events. Most 3 gun shooters use M2's and not M4's. Unless your going to hang stuff on the shotgun there no reason to get the M4. Another reason to get the M4 is the collapsible stock. These are very expensive and difficult to obtain. They WERE real easy to get when many of us bought our M4 11707's. Unless, like me and many others on this board, you just want the same shotgun as the Marines and Navy Seals use. Hey, I've got a better idea-get both.
  13. M2. You don't need 3.5" shells anymore since tungsten.
  14. Barrel heating will affect your POI more than just remounting your barrel (provided nothing gets knocked). Always sight your gun in with a cold barrel. Wait between shots for the barrel to cool. You going to be taking that shot with a cold barrel.
  15. Totally fair price. I would ask 150.00. Can't get them anymore-supply and demand.
  16. You can have ANY NFA Weapon in Texas. You just can't have one in Texas that is not a Federally Registered and Taxed Weapon. Texas has no law that Supercedes the Federal Laws. Other Places like NY California and even Alabama (no SBR or SBS, MG and Silencers are OK), for instance, do. Call the BATFE and ask them (304) 616-4500. Ask for the NFA Branch and talk to an Examiner (Ted Clutter is nice). Because you have to get a Form 5320.20 to take a Machine Gun or a SBR, SBS BUT NOT a AOW or Silencer across State Lines, these people know the State and Local Laws.
  17. Man, that's a good price! Put it on GB if no one wants to jump on that price here.
  18. AOW is not a shotgun according to the Feds, its a "smoothbore handgun". You can never attach a buttstock to it legally. Those guns are real handy though for snakes around your home and they require only a 5 dollar tax and you don't have to get permission from the BATFE to transport AOW or Silencers across state lines. Also, many States that have prohibitions on SBS (short barreled shotguns) allow the AOW precisely because its classified as a smoothbore handgun. You have to check your local and State Laws.
  19. How much do you want for that barrel? Pm me and if its a reasonable price I'll buy it and after the Form 1 registration and tax are completed I'll shorten it. It looks like the barrel would be just a little short for what I want- but if the price is fair we can work something out. That barrel ,as is, is done, finito, fin, muerte. Don't cut that barrel up. It's against the law without the Form 1 paperwork and Tax.
  20. Thanks RMW59. There's a guy at [email protected] that has them brand new for a buck fifty. I was just trying to buy a used one that somebody didn't want or need.
  21. I know what he said. 20ga's kick just about as bad as 12's assuming you are using 2.75" or 3" shells. Why, because they are lighter. The reason people including myself (I've been shooting a shotgun for 40 years) use the 20's is because the ammo is lighter and pretty much as effective out to 35 yrds or so and the guns are much lighter as well. The Cordoba is still heavier than the 20 ga M2 or Monte. Do yourself a favor and grab a 12ga and a 20ga same make and model with equivilent shells (std. 7/8oz 20 and 1 1/8 oz 12) and shoot them. When your shooting 28ga or .410 (67 ga.), now your really talking light recoil, but not a 20 bore.
  22. Yep, looking for a standard field stock, thanks.
  23. The Benelli Cordoba is a far better gun, more reliable, and WAY easier to clean. It also comes right out of the box with everything that you USED to have to send out your gun to have done. It has longer forcing cones, chokes and is ported. This, along with the new comb/stock helps dampen the harder kick of the inertia action. Also the Cordoba's are a little heavier to further mitigate recoil. Benelli got it right with this gun IMO. The Beretta will have the SLIGHT edge in perceived recoil though- no doubt about it. Disclaimer: I own both Berettas and Benelli's. Both are good.
