  1. porting helps with barrel flip a bit. But with shotguns, I don't think it helps with recoil. I mean what can you afford? How much is your wife going to shoot it? If your going to put thousands of rounds a year though it, I would go with a beretta, browning, or benelli product. If she is going to fire 500 to 1000 rounds a year, a daly, escort, or a "cheaper" gun would be just fine. But if you read other posts on this site, it all boils down to what she is comfortable with. good luck and let us know novaking
  2. Full choke will give you a tight pattern for long shots. 40 yards + mod. choke will give you a tight pattern for medium shots 30- 40 yards Im choke will give you a nice pattern for short range shots 30 and under novaking
  3. I know when Tom Knapp does his shows, there is a Benelli rep. there. The rep. has 7-8 benelli's you can try and when Tom is done with his show he lets you shoot his guns. Go to http://www.tomknapp.net and check his schedule novaking
  4. The m2 is a great shot. Lightweight. I had a charles daly once. I loved the way it felt but I had to send it off three times for repair in 6 months, so I sold it to my dad. My dad loves it and hasn't had any problems since. I don't know alot about the 720's. They are gas and they will be lighter recoil than the m2. Have you looked at escort shotguns. http://www.legacysports.com/products/escort/escort_semiauto.html I've heard good thing about those guns as well. They are in the same range ($) as the charles daly. good luck novaking
  5. carlsons makes a dead coyote choke for T shot and buckshot. I get 50%of the pattern out to 70 yards with 3 inch 00 buck http://www.choketube.com/benelli.html novaking

  8. If your going to shoot 1 oz loads, It will be a hit or miss. Some people say on this forum that there gun will not cycle 1 oz loads, some say they will. My friends Monty. shoots 1 oz loads all day long. Like I said hit or miss. I own three novas, but I'm hoping to trade them for an sbeII by the end of the year. P.S recommended loads for all the benelli autos is 1 1/8 novaking

  15. I have 3 Nova's, a 28 inch black 12 gauge, 24 inch camo 12 gauge and a 26 inch black 20 gauge. Love em all! No problems at all. Easy to clean. Easy to shoot. Love the shell stop, and love the fact you can unload the gun without chambering a round. My 28 inch has the recoil reducer and a limsaver pad which makes it a dream to shoot with mag. loads. buy the gun and don't look back. have fun. novaking

  20. screw the screws into the bracket first, then place the bracket in the stock, then use the screws to pull the bracket to the inside of the stock. Finally, carefully unscrew the screws from the bracket and set the pad on the gun and CAREFULLY screw in the pad. Hope this helps. It only took me 3 mins after I did it this way. novaking
