  1. Not odd, the c-stock that came on my m1014 was one style and a later c-stock was the other style fastener head (I don't recall now which was which), so at some point the change was made. Perhaps some other forum member can provide more background. SD?
  2. Years ago there was this incident where a local cop with a large metro PD got out of his cruiser as backup on a call and he grabbed his 870 out of the rack on his way out of his cruiser. In the course of events he racked a round into the chamber apparently forgetting later that he did that. The cops on scene managed to get the situation under control without any gunplay so this cop gets back into his cruiser securing the now in battery 870 into the rack in his cruiser. As he's sitting there writing a report for some odd reason he gets this urge to pull the trigger on the 870 while it's secured in the shotgun rack and ends up putting a new sunroof in his cruiser.
  3. That releases a round from the magazine so that the user can then fully retract the bolt carrier and allow it to slam forward carrying the first round into the chamber and bringing the shotgun into battery. Prior to the S90 series the only way to get the first round to fire chambered on the Benelli 121 and SL80 shotguns was to retract the bolt carrier and drop a round into the ejection port (i.e. unless one installed an aftermarket 'Benelli button' which performed the same function as the lever with the red dot).
  4. With only a small handful of notable exceptions, there's no better quality than OEM Benelli.
  5. Right, no tactical advantage in fact more like a tactical handicap.
  6. Anyone have any experience using only mil-spec powdered graphite as a lube (dry only, no wet lube) on semi-autos particularly the Benelli M4?

    Dreamers

Someone listed an OEM 5 round M4 mag tube on feebay with a starting bid of $100 and a BIN price of $299. Amsdork, is that you??
  8. It was Bush Sr. who established the notion of 'not suitable for sporting purposes' shortly after becoming president (the import ban bypassing Congress), and that is the basis of the pointless, nonsensical 922r.
  9. 922r is the legacy of NRA Lifemember GHW Bush.
  10. Whatever ya do, do NOT go to the gunsmith on S. Congress.
  11. I have a Pro Mag forend with the three rails (two on either side and one on the bottom, the side rails can be removed but the bottom rail is molded into both sides of the forend) that I have no use for. It's in good shape, very light use only. PM me if you want it.
  12. There may not be that many R1 enthusiasts on this forum who would know the answer to your question. I would suggest making an inquiry directly with Benelli.
  13. So from this video one can conclude that a special muzzle device is unnecessary for 'door breaching' (aka state sanctioned thuggery).
  14. That's my point...'door breaching' = those involved in some form of state sanctioned thuggery.
  15. 1) Reduce recoil 2) As a set-off device for 'door breaching' (which I question the practicality of, while it may sound cool in theory I don't see it has a safe operation of a shotgun - although I've never tried that [have no interest in doing so anyway]; so what exactly is one intending if one is seriously thinking of doing some 'door breaching'??? Realistically where does one need to do such a thing???) 3) As a way to relieve pressure should something like mud get lodged in the muzzle of one's barrel without one realizing it, thus preventing a bulged/burst barrel (that alone would make it a worthwhile addition to one's M4)
  16. Disappointment with your kit in the midst of a storm is an extremely unpleasant experience. Which is why I have no issues with spending the money on a T-1.
  17. That OKP-7 is a very interesting looking optic.
  18. When using NV one needs NV compatible sights.
  19. I like the essentially non-existent Carrier-comp version. I have one, would like another...ah, to dream.
