I've got a CC mag tube, a CC rail, and a CC charging handle. Great quality, worth the wait on the mag tube. Disappointed that there are no more charging handles.

A good friend is in the safe biz. According to him during a large out of control forest fire in the next county over there were many who were disappointed with their 'fireproof' safes. The fire rating of any safe is based upon the fire dept. showing up and putting out the fire before the structure burns completely to the ground.

Easy enough to check whether two port or four port, remove barrel from receiver, eyeball boresight it while pointed at a light source. If two port I suggest don't bother changing it out.

Benelli M4 SBS Entry model owners. Worth it?

If you have a tax stamp the Red Guards will be coming to your place first. Thanks for taking one for the team! -
Benelli M4 SBS Entry model owners. Worth it?
Sukhoi_fan replied to SnidelyWhiplash's topic in Benelli
Many years ago I hung out with a several Class 3 dealers, I recall them telling me that (we used to have a lot of local Class 3 dealers locally). They could've been referring only to their own license but the impression I got was if one has a tax stamp for full auto they're very interested in talking to you if a full auto is used locally in a crime, e.g. one owns a FA AK and a FA AK was used in an incident in the area, they would be very interested in talking to you about your AK. The impression they gave me was they would not be wanting to do a search of your home, it'd be more of a knock and talk, as in a "Show us the item and your tax stamp" situation. Still, I would not want to be on their radar with a tax stamp, I don't care what anyone says. IF anyone ever starts talking about having or wanting FA (or any other NFA item) I always ask: "You got a tax stamp for that/you plan on getting a tax stamp to acquire that?" If they answer in the negative I tell them to get the hell away from me with their criminal intent. The folks on the NFA registry are the first ones they will be coming to visit when it's time to step up their plans. If something is 'registered' then it's not yours - register comes from Latin regis which means "of the king." -

Another thing to consider is that with an NFA item you consent to Uncle Fudd showing up at your crib 24/7/365 demanding to take a look at your stuff. -
Anyone shot or tested this new Federal load in their M2?

My preference is Federal's Flite Control buckshot, when it can be found at a reasonable price. -

FWIW, here's the Federal webpage for their Force X2 specialty buckshot in case anyone wants to pay nearly $3/round; specs show MV at 1,250 fps. https://www.federalpremium.com/shotshell/premium-personal-defense/personal-defense-shotshell-force-x2/11-PD12FX2+00.html Target Sports indicates they've had it in stock before and currently out of stock, last price at $1.84/rd if TSUSA member. https://www.targetsportsusa.com/federal-personal-defense-12-gauge-ammo-2-3-4-00-buckshot-force-x2-9-pellets-pd12fx2-00-p-110137.aspx -

I wasn't even aware of this ammo until you posted about it. Ultimately I did find it even though you weren't willing to share your source. Thanks for your very friendly, helpful and constructive posts nonetheless! -

Have you considered the reason why "no one else seems to take the time to do" is largely due to you not sharing where it's currently available?? I see that currently the only availability online is through the Federal website, $2.60/round plus t,s,&h. Ouch. I think I'll wait for Target Sports to get it back in stock. -

Where is that available? It's not showing up on ammoseek. -
Curious about the "gotta haves" for a folding stock.
Sukhoi_fan replied to Birdog19's topic in Benelli
I've owned a number of the C-stocks over the years, no longer have one, it does nothing for me. The only benefit I can possibly see is shorter stock position when wearing body armor. -
Another +1 for Socomguy, received first rate mag tube a couple of days after ordering, so no waiting.

Unlikely as 922(r) only applies to whomever assembles any rifle or shotgun identical to those which are prohibited from importation. If one party purchases a rifle or shotgun another party has assembled in a prohibited configuration then the buyer cannot be charged with that offense although that may be difficult to establish downrange.

Sounds like your standard Mossy.
-
Nothing wrong with my Mossy now...except it's still a Mossy. I have no plans to be shooting a lot of ammo through it, it's a specialty piece, don't want to wear out the POS. ALL pumps have a limited lifetime before they become loosey-goosey and stuff starts to break. Benelli seems to be the only shotgun to hold up well to thousands upon thousands of rounds. And yep, I think this includes the Turknelli M4. We'll see. That's why I would like to see as many of the Turknelli M4s out there as possible so we're able to see how well they hold up. I'm thinking the big savings on purchasing the Turknelli can go to buying ammo. Patents expire all the time, it's called the free market.
-
There's quite a distinction between "It's a POS!" and "I prefer the original." lol FWIW, when I call a Mossy a POS I actually own one, a Shockwave. The major problem* it used to have has been resolved. All Mossy pumps suffer the same problem as do the Rock Island pumps I have - don't drop them they are easily disabled by dropping them from a drop as little as one foot. *Shell lifter falls out of position when dropped, therefore I regard Mossys which have not been remedied to be POS and NOT reliable for social work.
-
Yeah, that's right, a particular shotgun which offended you and and yet you have no experience with it. lol
-
You and another forum member declared a reasonable facsimile of a Benelli M4* to be a "POS" while NEITHER of you has ANY personal first hand experience with the Turknelli M4. That's snobbery. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/snob *Norinco (the Chinese with their rough workmanship) has made many "reasonable facsimiles" of proven, reliable guns which are also as reliable as the originals and also in strong demand in the secondary market (the Norinco clones are sought after not shunned), why can't the Turks??
-
Not "many" apparently just a small percentage...lol And "based on nothing"??? Whiskey Tango Hotel?? There's no shortage between the two of you presenting an opinion on something you have ZERO personal first hand experience with.
-
Here you referred to the Turknelli M4 as a "cheap POS" and apparently you're unable to objectively consider the Turknelli M4 as "a viable alternative" when YOU have zero personal first hand experience with it. It's reasonable to regard your response as snobbish.

This thread is definitely coming across as snobbish. As the one utube reviewer kept reminding his viewers, "This shotgun IS 1/3 the cost of a Benelli M4." The Chicoms have cloned a number of guns including the Browning ATD-22, the 1911, the Model 1897 shotgun, the 870, and the M-14 to name a handful. Rossi cloned the Winchester 62A. The Indians reverse engineered the FAL and it worked sufficiently for them. All of these were venerated, proven gun designs. Some of the Norinco made guns have the occasional part not interchangeable with the originals yet these clones are well thought of and command prices much higher than they originally sold for, surprisingly in line with the current market for the originals, sometimes higher. All I care about is that a gun goes BOOM immediately followed by small, hot, metallic thingies being forcefully expelled from the muzzle at very high velocity, reliably. Nothing else matters. And from the posted 17+ minute video review along with his followup on compatible mods I've concluded there is NOTHING wrong with the Turknelli M4 that cannot be easily resolved, in particular that being the matter of the shell stop. As far I can tell the only operational malfunctions were a combination of needing more hotter buckshot loads to break it in and avoiding that low end cheapie Winchester ammo. Now with that said, how many of you snobbish Benelli owners own a Mossberg POS? (Yes, Mossys are genuine POS).
