Dont want to Start a Political Debate but.............
StrangerDanger replied to Zeke's topic in Benelli
I thank Reagan, the darling of the Republican party every time I check the prices of transferable machine guns too. Thank you Bush Sr for the common sense 1989 import ban. Each time you guys get flustered over 922® compliance, you can clink a rat poison filled glass to our dear Republican Bush Sr. Certainly we'll do well with a vulture capitalist like Robme. Perhaps he could outsource our ship building and fighter production to the communist Chinese to save a buck. Seriously, who had Romney as their first choice out of all the Republicans during the selection cycle? Do you know a single person who wanted him? I don't know a single person who liked him. He wouldn't have even been their third or fourth choice. Is this an east coast thing, or did we get scammed like when McCain all of a sudden pulled the nomination out of his a$$? -
Look for two small holes in the butt pad. You must insert a small shaft Philips screw driver into the holes and engage the hidden Philips screw.

I'm rather surprised that Obama touched this issue. His koolaid drinking base is already behind him. It seems like this issue would push more voters away from him than pull any undecided in with the masses overwhelmingly orientating themselves with the libertarian moniker. I'm pretty sure Obama is done barring some massive election fraud on his part. I literally have not seen a single Obama sticker or yard sign this year. Period. Last election cycle, they were everywhere. The morons were mobilized in mass to vote for every freebie they could ever dream of. This time, the young aren't even remotely excited about him. I see far more signage for local elections than the Presidential one. Even when Mittens does get in, I don't expect to see any roll backs of the crap Obama pushed through. Government rarely gives up claimed ground. Republican Presidents tend to be the ones to push through firearm bans that really screw us over in the end. I've had my early voter ballot for about a week now, I'm still trying to decide if I can hold my nose and vote for Mittens like I did for McCain. In the end, it only becomes a vote against Obama rather than for someone I actually like... -
Arnold Schwarzenegger Movie Coming Soon 14" Benelli SBS
StrangerDanger replied to heckler&kochp2000's topic in Benelli
I wonder if it is a movie about him defending himself from paternity suits. -
Glad I could help. Naturally, the top rail looks better than the factory one: It gives your wife another chance to swing that cast iron pan.

Clean looking setup. Well done. Thank you for your service too.

How to mount a light on Benelli SuperNova Tactical 14" Barrel
StrangerDanger replied to Benito's topic in Benelli
I did a similar light activation grip before. Excellent momentary control, but I ended up going with a lighter setup. -
Keep your eyes out for a nice old High Standard. Like a Supermatic Citation. One of the best triggers I've ever pulled. Scary accurate too. I chase shotgun hulls out to 50 yards off hand. I also have a Sports King from around 1953 (I still have the receipt and original box for this one, it went for a princely sum of like 58 dollars back when the dollar had some value), it is okay, but the newer 1973 production (if i recall) Supermatic Citation blows it away in terms or ergonomics, accuracy and parts availability. They're super reliable with even bulk pack ammo. We knock down a brick and it just keeps chugging along. Your thumbs get tired of loading mags before anything else. Brownells supports them quite well. I've rebuilt a lot of both of them from the previous owners WECSOG escapades.

WTS: Carrier Comp Full Length Ti Tube factory match finish

This is a steal. No wait time, brand new. -
If I recall, even a 250mw laser will pop dark colored balloons if it is focused right. They certainly produce some heat. For those who aren't familiar with the laser ratings, the typical red laser pen or Crimson Trace Grip laser is under 5mw.

Did Benelli NP3 the pistons in their H20? The only benefit I expect you'll see is much easier cleaning. Hopefully they don't take too long. Another option would be to use Nickel Boron from a place like WMD Guns.
-
Wow, a 1 watt visible blue laser that can handle 12 gauge recoil? Talk about friggin dangerous. Just shining a laser like that at a white wall would have enough blow back to damage your eyes without protective eye-wear. That M1014 has some work done to it though. They replaced the receiver extension to make the collapsible stock functional.

Nice bench, much nicer than the old tables I use. Did you bolt yours to the floor? I also reload, I have a Dillon 650XL that is loaded. I primarily load 9mm, 45acp and .223. I pick up a lot of brass from the deserts here in Arizona. Well, at least before four years ago. Now, everyone polices their brass pretty heavily. I have about 20,000 9mm cases, of which, 15,000 are loaded and stored loose in ammocans.

I'd return it to stock and sell the parts seperately to get the most money from the sale. You didn't mention what magazine tube was on it either.
-
If you add the collapsible stock, you'll need four US made parts. Fortunately, it is easy these days. You need four of the following; 1. US Made Full Length Magazine Tube 2. US Made Magazine Follower 3. US Made Hammer 4. US Made Trigger 5. US Made Disconnector 6. US Made Handguard 7. US Made Stock Obviously the US Made stock won't work if you're going with the collapsible unit.

I thought you were all just bored without your favorite play toy.

lol The first one is a good one. Very Nixon-like.

I burned up a few hundred of those older shells with the cardboard hulls. Some of them I had to slap the bolt handle to get them to chamber due to some swelling. They all fired and ejected just fine.

Lower weight. Faster target acquisition. Much more effective in tight areas. Better weapon retention. More effective for breaching operations. I use a 2 point sling. I have a padded VCAS sling. A 2 point sling swings a lot less. I find most 1 point slings swing like a pendulum of pain and rack your knees. They're great if you have hands on the weapon. Once you let go of it, and push it behind your pistol or drop it down your off side, it just swings wildly. I do want to try one of the Magpul MS3 slings so I can have the best of both worlds.

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=9791/Product/TORNADO-BRUSHES Sometimes you can find them locally, but in the bay area? Probably not. I'd recommend finding other things to buy so you don't waste all that shipping for one item.
-
That's lead from the slugs you were shooting in the barrel. I like to use a Tornado brush for removing that crap. Also, there is two ports for the ARGO gas system about 10 inches from the chamber. When you look down the barrel it'll look like two black spots. Just mentioning these so you don't think they're debris to scrub off. When assembling the weapon, make sure the lug of the barrel is seated flush with the receiver. Wasn't there a thread on here a few weeks back about a loosening cap being attributed to a poor fitting forend?
-
Think of the light as a stand off device. Or you could go with a M300 and it would be flush. A new Magpul 1 point sling would be a better choice though. The standard 14" would work well too.
-
The action can certainly be outran. As the bolt carrier begins to close and the shell elevator drops, the hammer can fall because it is no longer being held down or by the disconnector. So there is about 1.5 inches of bolt travel where the hammer can fall and ride the bolt carrier into battery. You then have a live round in the chamber with the hammer forward. Fortunately, this issue is only a problem when screwing around.

Like this? This is a concept creation I've been working on. Barrel chopped to 12.5".
