  1. That’s an Elite Iron bipod. Built like a tank and as a unique pivot mount. https://www.eliteiron.com/product/revolution-bipod/
  2. At first glance I thought that heron was a planet!
  3. No, that’s not normal for removal. Can you post pictures of the receiver extensions? Check beneath the cheek rest for any screws. Some of the California models have these present that prevent the stock adjustment button from functioning. Have you reassembled the stock? Now that it is reassembled, will it install onto the 3 position extension?
  4. I believe your issue is you don’t have much leverage on the tube itself since I assume the 3 position extension isn’t attached to the firearm or anything. Try pressing the unlock button and holding it in while you attempt to rotate the stock 90 degrees to the right. Once it rotates, continue pressing the unlock button and slide the stock up and down the receiver extension. You’ll note that the stock will move fully forward to the closed position. The stock will still be canted 45 degrees to the right. Now try to rotate the stock 45 degrees to the left so the stock would be correctly orientated. Now let off of the unlock button. Now press the button again, rotate 45 to the right and extend the stock fully. Rotate 45 to the left. Now there is a center middle position on the 3 point stock. You’ll also note there is a disassembly notch between the middle and the farthest extended position. Once aligned with the disassembly notch, you’ll rotate the stock 90 degrees to the left so that the stock is canted 45 degrees to the left. Then the stock will pull free off of the extension. Oil should be applied to the receiver extension so that it has a nice uniform finish this should help with the sticking issues in the future.
  5. Damn Benelliwerks! You looking to adopt any kids?! I like that Schmidt and Bender optic. I have a similar one on a 6.5 Creedmoor AR10 build.
  6. I build H2O's for clients a few times per year. We contract thru Wright Armory for the actual plating services. I handle all the tear down and reassembly since Wright has difficulties putting them back together properly.
  7. Nice! We’re outfitting a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone for long range target hit identification. It broadcasts the video back to the phone for quick identification. We land it right in front of the target to save power. A couple big rocks protect it from errant shots that land short.
  8. For farther away problems. Nightforce 7-35x56. Radian lower, V Seven 2055 upper. Elite Iron bipod. 20” Proof Research carbon Fiber wrapped barrel.
  9. I'd go with the IWC. The Ava Tactical setups are nice, but aren't compatible with the newer 18650 battery bodies that the Surefire M600DF models have or the aftermarket bodies like the Modlite. It has a simpler design too.
  10. That was fast! Good guy to deal with.
  11. For when things go bump in the night. It’s due for a major update though.

Probably depends on your tool the most. There isn't much room in there for error and misalignment is easy to happen. Since each pin is machined at each end to allow the pin to be captured under the spring tension. Like if you tried to drive the pin out without removing the spring tension, you'd probably damage the body of the ARGO plug. If you over compressed the post, the same would happen where the pin would be captive again just at the other side of the pin.

Birddog19 is correct. Only specific groups outlined by the 922(r) laws count towards compliance. So if you add a US made charging handle, it doesn't matter. This is kind of a good thing since if we counted all 100+ parts of Benelli as foreign made, it would be extremely difficult to replace enough to make it to the parts count.
  14. They were overweight crap. The rubber delaminated from the stocks rather quickly for many owners. My fight with the ATI rep is here on this forum somewhere.

The spring is quite stiff. The best way I found is to push the tool in with the jaws of a vise. You press it in just enough to relieve the tension from the pin which will allow it to be tapped out. Then once out, releasing the jaws allows the tool to be pushed out by the spring tension.

Black bolt carrier and receiver extension = Cerakote
  17. I'm a fan of the padded QD slings from BlueForceGear. Sewn in QD sockets are nice. Fewer connectors to hang up on things. I'm a fan of the wrap around style. It really helps limit how much the shotgun tries to roll away from your body when you're hands off. The adjustment strap is firm but easy to use for changing your length. They don't give you any directions on how to use the adjustment. I found the best way is to set it so that when you tighten the strap, the gun is held firmly to your body. You won't be able to shoulder it until you release the slack. This allows you to tighten it against your back or pack without it trying to swing in front of you while you're tasking or hiking. You can even cinch it tight to your chest in front. It'll depend how you're carrying. If the sling is over your right shoulder, it's more for carrying in the front of you. If the sling is over your left shoulder, it's more for behind you. This is for a right handed user, reverse for a lefty.
  18. Nice work. Not too much putting on that aluminum oem frame.
  19. The nylock is good enough. If reusing the old nut, use some blue Loctite. I bought a bag of these. Basically a lifetime supply for what Brownells charges for one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B088JRNP97?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  20. Never seen a torque spec given. Most of the holding strength is due to the threadlocker anyway. If you tried to just force your way thru the thread locker without heating the components, you’d likely strip the threads first. You want this nut tight, but not hanging from the wrench tight. One slip of the wrench and you may mar up your receiver or round over the nut. Since you’ll be holding the extension in place with the 19mm wrench, the 19mm is generally a lot shorter than the 27mm wrench. So if you’re over powering what you’re holding the 19mm wrench with, you’re over the limit. I’m about 200 pounds, so I lean on the 27mm wrench to set it good’n’tight. With every portion of the threads and nut glued against the receiver with Loctite 271 after an acetone bath, that thing isn’t going anywhere unless you break out the heat again. This is where it can be a real pain in the ass to get your timing of the extension perfect. Even being 1 degree off, you’ll notice with the collapsible stock. Arguably this is the hardest part of the job.
  21. Mostly a gimmick novelty round. Fun to play with, but not much real world value. The projectiles don’t carry a lot of weight. Regular buckshot will be much more destructive.
  22. I tried to set up a dealer account with Limbsaver, but they weren't very receptive. I have built the kits in the past for people. Right now it's just the difficulty of getting the pads.
  23. About your only option would be to install a field stock that doesn't have the rubber grip portion. With it, you could then elect to have the grip stippled by someone like Tango Industries if desired.

This receiver extension won't count towards 922 compliance. This is definitely a slick project. Been following along for quite some time now.
  25. Build your own. It’ll be better since your accessories will be done to match.
