  1. I agree with the Indy thing, although the Saints have that Karma thing going. It does not really matter to me. I don't gamble on the games, and my Packers got the boot early on. Should be a good game...
  2. Looks like you must have come out on top with the playoff games!! If you picked the Jets over the Chargers, you deserve a new Vinci and M2. Any tips on the Super Bowl?? That new Legacy has me squirming.. Mike
  3. Good for you!! Sounds like a satisfied customer to me.. When it comes to the turkey hunt, I would use the Vinci. You never know when you will need that little extra bit of whoop a$$. Good luck to you.. Mike
  4. Just bought one for my SBE l. Have not patterned it yet. To much snow!! I also plan on shooting H 13 with it. I am told that it is a hot set up. Will let you know when it warms up a little.
  5. I guess that depends on what you are used to. I like the 50/50 pattern. A lot of guys here like their guns to shoot high. Pattern it when you get it and see where it shoots. The POI can be adjusted, to a certain degree, with the shims that are included with the Vinci. Good luck...
  6. All of the above. Plus make sure you keep it clean and oiled. Especially the bolt rails. You don't need to go nuts. a light coating of good oil is all that is needed. Good luck...
  7. If you are shooting at something on the ground, it won't go far beyond your target. Now if you are trapshooting with it, a different story. At 440 yards, it would have little energy left.
  8. I second that motion.. Please leave it for us. Your pictures are the best, bar none. Thanks, Mike
  9. The 12 ga. Novas take a 423M. The rest of the Benelli line take a 93A. Welcome to the world of Benelli...
  10. Glad to here that POI is not a problem. It is a nice shotgun to shoot, for sure. Good luck with the turkeys and the new Vinci. Mike
  11. Didn't say it sucks. I just don't hunt anything that requires it. The shotgun would be nice. The gauge, not so much.
  12. I can live without the steady grip, but that Legacy is another question. Luckily, the 28 ga. is not very high on my list of usable shells, so it may buy me some time.
  13. Let us know how it goes. I hope it shoots well for you...Mike
  14. How do they know when you reach your limit, and or do they care?
  15. Glad that it worked out for you. I wish that my Vinci would have been made to shoot lower, then the shooter could de-shim, to raise the POI to his desire. I enjoy my Vinci as well, but it's kind of like ''Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play''! Oh well. Good luck.
  16. That's funny right there. I don't care who you are!!!
  17. You really don't have to remove the magazine tube to clean it. Once the retainer, spring, and follower are out, you will be able to run a brush and swab down through it.
  18. I don't have either of these models, but I do have a couple of Legacys, in walnut. Both of these models come with shims for the stock. Hope this helps. Mike

    camo cleaning

I would use soap and water or just water, depending on how much grime you are dealing with. That is all you need. Why risk the camo job on something that is not needed?
  20. I have also had the issue with the hammer. Good advice!
  21. Make sure that the white dot is in the window on the forearm. If not, you need to push the button in and turn the locking knob a quarter turn, until it is. Put the butt stock on a table or other hard surface with the barrel facing up. Line up the white dots on the forearm and the bottom of the barrel. Push the forearm assembly down towards the butt of the gun. It will take some force. When it is pushed in all the way, reach up and turn the locking nut to lock forearm assembly onto the barrel. It gets easier after you do this a few times. Good luck, and let me know if this helped you. Mike
  22. I patterned my Vinci with 1 1/8 oz. trap loads. I really don't use the gun for turkey or waterfowl. I hunt ruffed grouse with it. I also do a lot of trap shooting at my home with it. I use an SBE l for turkey, and an SBE ll for pheasant, partridge (grouse), and whatever else that gets in the way. Good idea to wait until the shotshow. You never know what may pop up there. Good luck with you decision. Let me know what you end up with and how it shoots for you. Mike
  23. This is beginning to look like a classic case of ''Paralysis by Analysis''.
