  1. They need to be stopped before they get here. It can be done. The interface still sucks..
  2. I am not very far behind you, Tucker. This is not the forum that it used to be. I hate the new interface, as well. Save me a spot at Shotgun World...Mike P.S. If you need to see spam, check in on the weekends or on Monday morning..
  3. Welcome to the world of Benelli. Glad to see you on the forum. Enjoy your stay, eeh..Mike
  4. If you need any help killin' those birds, don't be afraid to look me up. I can be had.. Mike
  5. I agree. The DSD decoys are unbelievable. Pricey, but worth every penny. Kinda like a Benelli...
  6. Fantastic. I am an avid turkey hunter in Wi. and the U.P. of Mi. I hunt with an SBE l that has an Aimpoint red dot on it. I did buy a BPS 10ga. last year, and am looking forward to smoking one with that rig this year. There are plenty of turkey hunters on this site and a lot of info to be had. Good luck, and welcome to the world of Benelli..Mike
  7. Great story. It is always nice to someone new to the sport of turkey hunting. Congrats on getting over the fear of a shotgun, as well. Where do you hunt? The Vinci is a nice shotgun, and I hope that you get a few more for your collection. Well done..Mike
  8. Any high brass will do. The bigger, the better. Make sure you keep it oiled, shoot three/four boxes of the hunting loads, and you should be good to go. Enjoy..Mike
  9. I have to agree with Stoffer. That's what it looks like to me. The chart shows that a thicker shim will raise the POI, when in fact, it lowers it. Mike

    SBE Barrel

I did not know this. That's good news..Thanks, Mike
  11. I know what your saying, Tucker. It can be confusing..However it gets worded, the thicker shim allows me to see the whole rib, rather than just the forward half, which in turn, lowers my POI. The manual is a little vague in that area..Thanks for posting the information. Looking forward to seeing your waterfowl pictures soon..Mike
  12. Tucker. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and I will admit that. I also will admit that you've forgot more about Benelli's than I know. I may be wrong here, but it looks to me like, on your chart, that the thicker shim © will make the gun shoot to a higher POI. Am I reading it wrong? Mike
  13. Thank you sooo much for this valuable information. I never would have thought that shooting my gun would panic a turkey. When I shoot my gun, it is too late for the turkey to panic.

    End of the World

I am going out to buy a new vehicle for my wife today. I hope I survive the earthquake and the banker doesn't...

    End of the World

The ones that die tomorrow probably will not die via an earthquake.
  16. Trap loads are low brass. Hunting shells are high brass. Compare the two and you will see the difference in the height of the brass on the rim of the shell...Mike
  17. Shoot a couple of boxes of high brass anything. These guns can be a little ''tight'' from being put together with tight tolerences. All it does is add a little extra oomph to dull the sharp edges, so to say. Most will function with trap loads out of the box, but why not speed the process along with something that you know will not jam the gun. Keep it clean, keep it oiled, break it in, and it will last you a lifetime and then some..Mike
  18. I own both, and if I had to pick one it would be the SBE ll, hands down. It points better, looks better, and it has a track record. Both are good, reliable guns, but it's SBE ll for me..Mike
  19. Congrats on the two nice birds. ..So you've got two Easterns in your life. One has a 15-1/4'' beard, and the other a double beard of 5'' an 9''. That must really be a good "spot''. Mike
  20. Don't forget to take some tape for your thumb. It will be raw, in short order, from reloading the gun. Trust me..Mike
  21. I have a Primos Cutter. It is a single sided box. It plays great. I only use a box call to locate or when it is windy, but I would definitely buy another if this one got lost..It is a fairly inexpensive call, but it really screams..Good luck, Mike
  22. Thanks, Tucker. Seems like we see a turkey in your boat, every year. You build a moat around your favorite spot? Good luck to ya the rest of the season..Mike
  23. Just a tad under 10''. He was awful wet, so the beard looks a little spindly. It actually was a pretty thick beard. He weighed 18#, and had 1'' hooks..That's a pretty good gobbler for up there. They don't get real heavy..Mike
