  1. It sounds like you may be talking about something different than what strangerdanger if referring to. Is the interference due to the thickness of the piece as in the width or more like the shape? There have been issues with the other manufacturers triggers being too thick on width causing friction in the pieces rubbing in the polymer frame. But yours looks like the trigger design is slightly bigger than the original trigger in the catch area.
  2. So $1450 total for NP3 plus disassembly and reassemble by you, plus shipping? Still better than $6000 on GB for a real NPR H2O. ?

    M4 Picture Thread

Nicely done! I just received my Limbsaver pad from Optics Planet. Order took just under 3 weeks.
  4. After installing the Briley carbon fiber mag tube with the factory Benelli follower I tried pushing in the follower with my finger and the factory follower would hang up and get stuck similar to your experience. I then installed the FFT follower and tried the same process and the FFT follower did not get hung up no matter how many times I tried so hopefully it will be fine. Didn't get a chance to get to the range with live ammo yet. If I have problems I may order the TTI follower which seems to be about the same length as the Briley follower but the TTI follower comes in red instead of black like the Briley.
  5. No unfortunately the only parts on the 922R compliance list that count for replacement with USA parts (and are easily available) are: 1. Trigger (FFT/Briley/Benelliparts) 2. Hammer (FFT/Briley/Geissele/Shootingsight/Benelliparts) 3. Disconnector (FFT/Briley/Benelliparts) 4. Handguards (FFT/Surefire/Briley/Strike Industries) 5. Trigger frame (A&S Engineering) 6. Stock (Mesa Tactical Urbino) 7. Full length magazine tube (Briley/Carriercomp/FFT/Dave’s Metalwork) 8. Magazine follower (carriercomp/FFT/Briley) (This list was from one of SD posts)
  6. Thanks for the update SD. I will installing my Briley Magazine this weekend and planned on using the FFT follower. Is your Briley follower the extended one?
  7. Received a reply to an email to tech support at Briley MFG. Of course they recommend Red Loctite. But I'm going with Blue Loctite so I can resell it if I ever change it out ? "Yes you will need to use a thread locker on the magazine. Typically we use high strength Loctite 271 which is red in color but even a a high strength thread locker found in you local hardware will work well. You will need to strip the receiver completely to apply heat to the magazine so as to release the factory thread locker. To avoid discoloration to the receiver apply the heat to the magazine as close as you can go to the receiver and allow it to transfer to the threads. You will need to carefully clamp the receiver and have something you can use to grab on the hot magazine so as to unscrew it. Clean and degrease all the threads thoroughly before applying thread locker. Hand pressure is adequate when tightening the magazine and then allow about 20 minutes for the locker to set before assembly. Full cure is 24 hours."
  8. Pretty much what Was thinking. Thanks guys!
  9. Good news! Just got an email from Optics that my order has shipped. Sooner the expected.
  10. So just a quick question. When installing the Briley carbon fiber mag tube do you use Red Loctite on the new tube like on the original Benelli part? I'm thinking should I want to replace the carbon fiber tube in the future would heating the end of the tube damage the carbon fiber? Use Blue Loctite or none needed? Thanks in advance!
  11. Just bought a collapsible stock from him on GB. Had a good experience. My parts were as described. Not sure what was up with your purchase. I have to say though that logging onto a forum with your very first post to bash a vendor is not cool.
  12. Yeah good deals are scarce right now.. Looking for a few months and was about to buy an overpriced one on GB and strolled into a LGS and they happen to have a used M4. Turns out it wasn't even even fired. Keep looking. Not every new firearm owner wants to spend what these are worth. Sometimes you get lucky.
  13. Sweet! Congrats on the new Benelli!
  14. The top photo looks like the older original model that was NP3 plated by ROBAR. You can tell by the bolt and trigger guard which are silver colored. The bottom photo is the newer H2O model which is a Ceracoted finish. The bottom is what Benelli is now shipping. They no longer make the true NP3 plated model.
  15. Optics is pretty well known for not having the actual inventory. I figured they really didn't have them in stock. If Limbsaver the manufacturer is out of stock I'm guessing a vendor didn't have any. Oh well took a chance.
  16. Good to know.?
  17. So is the fixed C-stock just a variant for no discernible reason? Not to meet some requirement to be compliant? Just asking.
  18. I believe models M1014/#11701 Limited edition flag model and #11703 models came with the neutered C-stocks. I don't think anything prevented those models being sold outside of CA. What model did you order?
  19. It looks like you may have gotten the M4 model made for the CA market which doesn't permit collapsable stocks. Search this forum. StrangerDanger did a post on replacing the single recoil tube with a 3 position recoil tube.
  20. Not yet. Been 12 days. Status still says "Order being fulfilled". ,,,,,,,,,,.,,,,
  21. I'm still learning so those model numbers may be off ?.
  22. From what I can tell the H20 Cerakoted Titanium models are #11795 - Comes with the pistol grip field stock and 5 rd magazine. #11796 is generally sold with the Collapsable pistol grip stock from the factory and 7 rd magazine. The Benelli collapsible field stock # 70085 will fit the H20 model 11795 and is all black (not Cerakoted) same as the 11796 or black guns.
  23. As I understand it adding the 2 round extender does nothing toward 922r compliance. The extender tube is not on the 922 list. You are just modifying an existing part. You can add the extender but to get to 7 round capacity and be 922r complaint you would still need 3 more American made parts from StrangerDangers post for your gun. As for just buying an M4 version with the 7 round tube already installed from the factory, (as I understand it) that configuration is meant to be sold to military or policy departs only. They would be exempt from that 922r requirement. As a civilian owning that gun you would still not be 922 compliant until you replaced 3 Italian parts with 3 American parts from that list. Most choose to just replace the whole 5 rd tube and the neutered extender with an American made 7 round tube which then allows you to at least count the 7 round tube as one of the required 3 parts. Now you only need two more parts on the list to be compliant. Here is a video that may explain it better. https://freedomfightertactical.com/pages/fft-videos
  24. Just received my new FFT trigger group. Waiting for my A&S Trigger guard to arrive before I swap it out.
