  1. Not sure why you are so upset about all of us making a reasonable complaint about the situation. If it doesn't bother you then great, move along, but please don't criticize me for having an expectation that a forum should function within its own stated capacity. I am not upset about a minuscule thing here. Please for future interactions if you could be so kind as to refrain from being overtly confrontational and bitter towards those who have standards for how a site is supposed to be run, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you sir and God bless.

  2. I’ve been on the forum since 2007 and finally bought an M4, new, in 2010. Bought the Carriercomp tube back then, and subsequently used the Sidearmor rail when that was a thing. Got rid of that heavy monstrosity a while ago. Started with the fixed pistol grip stock, and then replaced it with the Mesa Tactical Urbino when that was released. Recently decided the field stock was better for me. Here’s where it’s at now: TRIGGER GROUP: OEM aluminum trigger guard (came this way in 2010) Shooting Sight NiB Benelli hammer Taran Tactical Accuguide shell lifter DMW enlarged safety RECEIVER: Loading port opening by RAS (Rose Action Sports) Enlarged circular bolt release button by RAS FFT Mil Spec Rail Midwest Industries QD Low Aimpoint T1 mount Aimpoint T2 RX Arms Benelli M4 Charging Handle Titanium BARREL & MAGAZINE: Carriercomp titanium magazine tube Wolff magazine tube spring Brownell’s magazine follower Benelli cylinder choke Impact Weapons Components Mount LBM41913 STOCK & HANDGUARDS: Benelli field stock Limbsaver pad 10403 Benelli Noveske flush QD mount x 2 Stock and handguards painted in Multicam by Branden at Custom Gun Coatings Blue Force Gear Vickers sling in Multicam, sewn QD push button mounts Blue Force Gear Sling Sleeve in Multicam

  5. I've mentioned before, I read long ago a retired judge say in his 35 years on the bench that a shotgun, by far, was THE most fought over weapon in home invasions. I can see this glass breaker as a deterrent to grabbing the end of the muzzle. I have, on one of my M4's a breacher choke with spikes for that exact reason. I have an M-7 bayo for my Mossberg 590A1 as well. I would not class this as a useless toy. YMMV

  6. Thanks—the loading port and bolt release was done by Steve Rose, Rose Action Sports (RAS). He’s a member here and posted in this thread a few posts up. Brendan at Custom Gun Coatings did the paintwork on the forends and stock. Earlier in the year he did paintwork on a Tikka project for me, too

  9. Greetings All. Just a quick query to see if anyone knows if there is a spike or "glass breaker" magazine tube cap for the M4. Something similar to the one that "Black Aces" makes for the Mossberg series (see attached pics). Any info/insight would be great, as this would be an add on for HD, etc. Many Thanks!

  10. Not sure if I've already posted these, but here's what I've got set up for the Mrs. when she feels the need for running mini/shorty shells. She's got both the M&P12 and I got her the 12ga Shockwave as a gift this year (and added a "spike")... The Tac-13 is my "Thumper" that I wish could properly cycle the same mini's but it does just fine with the low recoil shells and has since been SBS'd (no "spike" however... yet).

  11. Yes sir, I understand what you are saying, yet I was not expecting the mods to completely disregard their families in any way nor would I ever expect or demand them to. With that being said, if you willingly choose to be in a position that requires consistent attention then please do so. If you can't then that is ok, then give it to others who can be. It took them a couple of clicks of a mouse to remove and block the offender, it wasn't a long arduous task that took them any significant time. Again, there are others here who can do that and are willing to. As one poster has shown, some of these moderators have not been on here in a long very time and to be honest that just is not acceptable. I am sorry if I upset you and caused you to be angry at myself or others that is not my intention and I am not here to troll or upset people at all whatsoever. I love this forum and talking with others about our passion for Benelli. I just hope maybe you can find it in your heart to apologize for your comments as well and that we can all move on from this and hope that the moderators do better in the future. Take care sir and God Bless.

  12. Hate to bring this up again, but I’m not sure how many of you have actually tried to break car glass, but neither the muzzle nor the butt of the gun (especially the butt) will break even a Honda civic car glass. Just ain’t gonna do it guys

  13. Go for it—it’s way better this way! You can find Steve a couple of posts up.

  14. My apologies for that comment folks. Apparently, that is against the considerate, polite posting rules.

  15. Took a serious look at the 11714 but went with the 11715 for many of the reasons listed above. Thinking about the heat shield from RX Arms when they are back in stock....I like this set up as it keeps the stock poly hand guards and puts flashlight placement further forward.

  17. Two reasons, #1, Surefire makes a high quality product, #2, but most importantly to me is the location of the on/off switch. The "R1 Lawman" has two switches, one on the tail cap (which I do not like), and the other on the front of the light, that I prefer. It's the only Surefire model that I know of with this feature.

  18. I picked mine up at a large guns store in the St Louis area...the factory hand guard is cool because it's pretty rare, but it's heavy AF and isn't true MLOK. It's a weird pattern that you must use screws to attach pic sections to and benelli only provided 4 sections and 8 screws. The screws are cheap garbage. Took heads right off the first two I used. Can't tighten them enough to keep them from loosening from the recoil. I'm currently looking for a true MLOK rail to replace it

  19. There are some of us who diligently report spam on this forum. It wouldn't take much of anything to assign a staffer (there are three who are forum admins) to monitor their email during a holiday break and deal with the problem in a timely fashion when the spam report emails pour in. This problem of the holiday forum hijacks is only going to get worse in the future if not checked.

  20. For my Marine Security Guard assignments to the U.S. Consulate (Embassy now) in Panama City and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, we had our M1014's (M4's) equipped with the stock Benelli split handguards. They were set up that way for a reason and they worked 100% without fail, as Benelli had intended. The stock handguards may not be "high speed" or have lots of accessory mounting options, but they are actually the best thing for the M4 especially if it can protect the Agro dual piston gas system in both Central America and the Middle East. My detachments were not always indoors with the rest of the State Dept personnel and Contracted Security crews, as we routinely trained with national & local forces (and even other countries' forces) in their varied environments with our issued gear. Our M1014's handled everything like a champ, even when we had a couple of actual incursions by militants and insurgents. For OIF and OEF (& to some extent, OIR), the M1014/M4's stock handguards took on and survived some of the harshest operating conditions and environments and still performed outstandingly well in protecting the dual pistons. Although I was equipped with my M240B, we saw "teams" with their Benelli's looking like they've been through literal #ell but they were still "taking out the trash" with them. As MSG, the only thing we couldn't do with our '1014's was modify the stock set up and functionality of them, lest we'd potentially cause an international incident. That should tell us all something about the stock handguards, as they just simply work and do their designed job. And that's to provide us Marines a perfect ergonomic place to grip to shotgun while we buttstroke the enemy in the teeth... (per DoS, DoD, and RoE regs, of course) (sorry about the wall of text and rant) I'm currently using the Agency Arms handguard on my M4, as it is a backup HD shotgun that needed a WML and a foregrip for my Dad. I can see myself with another M4 very soon as a "slick" SBS w/ stock split handguard & stippling.

  21. Thanks to all for the info and insight on this one. Please know that in this circumstance, I would NOT necessarily use this piece of kit to only break glass with... I totally get that the "Almighty M4/M1014" can more than take care of most matters, as I've been quite a few "gov't funded international trips" where I've had to put it to actual use. Just looking at options besides a bayonet mount on a HD shotgun...?? M4 Bayonet.jfif
