  1. Stoeger M2000 is not the way to go, however Benelli M2 would be. If you want to stick to the Benelli family and are on a budget, start thinking Nova or Super Nova pump guns. 26 or 28" barrels depending on your taste should be fine. As far as the hunt goes, see if you can hook up with some friends to sort of show you the ropes. I still learn new things every season from my senior hunting friends.
  2. From what I heard the area in Cananda Green Hornet is in must be one of the few places left where sink boxes are legal. To my knowlege sink boxes have been outlawed in the US for quite a long time. Stil must be pretty cool to hunt out of.........still looks wet.....burrrrrr.
  3. Good one, I will keep that one handy for future crow hunts.

Somthing a few guys I hunt with have done over the years is to bring along your choke tubes on the hunt. If the birds are decoying well or passing nice and close stick with your IC choke, but it they start hugging the fringe go to mod to reach out and touch them a little harder. Carefull not to drop your choke tube in the water if you decide to swap one out.
  5. any good crow recepies, I hate eating crow.
  6. I would agree completely with Tucker on shipping via UPS. I have mailed guns this way before and never had a problem, and it would sure take the whole airport security thing right out of the equation. My luck if I tried to bring the gun through the airport security, even if I did everything right they would propabley confiscate it and never have to use for the trip. I once had a keychain with a deer horn on it conficated in Dallas Ft.Worth airport right after 911, idiots thought the deer horn was petrified finger or some crazy thing like that.
  7. Why dont you pick a new site to crap on?
  8. Give up Splash, it's getting painful watching you make an a** out of yourself here.
  9. What, your limit of beers? ya right. Your doooomed in here.
  10. We make a lot of summer sausage, beef sticks, even brats out of duck and geese. Noting new to me either.
  11. The saiga continues.....love it. Poached like eggs are typically boiled in water, might be a new way to cook duck?
  12. Close to chicken but not quite the same, and like Mr. Mac said they are on the dry side so be careful there. The breast is all white meat and the legs are dark, the wings you can dam near forget about. Good eats, and way better than duck in my opinion.
  13. Splash, Probably had your prints on it too Careful what you say here, everytime you type you get in deeper. So thanks for the fun.
  14. If you have enough cash for a the supersport you might want to really consider a decent new or lightly used double barrel. The skeet or trap game tends to evolve in this direction for a lot of folks.
  15. The 20 might require a little more operator skill.
  16. One venny burger and an order of fries to go please!
  17. Puppies make me want another dog, but not gonna happen yet. Great looking pup, so start your training now. He should be good to go by fall.
  18. Then when you want to get into really swinging the gun try shooting skeet, a whole new game.
  19. Come on I have a JC Higgins and its not in there either.
  20. I guess that happened twice, and another time with deer. What goes through these peoples minds.........air I guess.
  21. I am trying to plan a trip out this fall for my first ND duck and goose hunt, the group I will go with has years of experience in the area we will hunt. So I hope its a good one.
  22. I cant believe nobody bit on the lead comment. #2 Winchester Experts 12 ga in 3" - $8 box
  23. Thats a great idea, I used to use the swimming pool for that. Now that I am getting divorced I might just try the shower!
  24. Our end of season hunts brought lot of nice ducks down but like you said they are super wary and will not commit to the decoy spead all to easy. They always seemed like they wanted to find wide open places no where near shore. Once that started they just raft up and never move. Nice Gads! We did switch to mod chokes and BB shot to take them at longer distances, but you really need to have your shooting goggles on for those shots, and a good dog helped a lot too. Looks nice there versus the North Pole up here.
  25. 20 ga, 3" hand loads with blue dot powder and 1 1/4 oz of 5 shot.
