  1. At least if will shoot when you rack it unlike the 500!!
  2. Any Benelli Dealer will be able to order you a Benelli choke tube but myself i do not hardly use factory tubes anyway. It is also well known that Benelli does not have a group of accessories and having to import everything is probably a good reason for the prices being high when you do find the accessory you want! Brownell's is an authorized dealer BTW and if you are looking for a cheap replacement barrel good luck!! They have never been cheap and even harder to come by! Benelli is not able to import certain accessories due to ATF regs and not too many people make accesories for anything but the M4 and most of those are American made due to ATF Regs?
  3. It was also gun of the year for 2003 since it was being replaced in late 2003 and early 2004 with the SBEII. http://shootingindustry.com/si9202/sht9202.html

  5. just email CS with your serial number and they will tell you when it was imported? the code on the Lower left side of the receiver will tell you what year it was made BTW! I have a BT= 2003 coded SBEII and i am almost positive that it was one of the first imported because CS told me that 2004 was as far back as their price sheets go back which is close to when i got mine which was 3/12/2004 and as mentioned it has year date code of BT=2003. The dead give away for the SBE is that the safety button is round and the trigger guard is also more rounded vs the squared one on the SBEII and the odd shaped safety is also a dead give away that it's a SBEII! I have never seen a comfortech stock on a SBE but i guess anything is possible but strongly believe all SBEII's have them unless it was a wooden stock SBEII? Post up a pic and you will get the correct answer!
  6. No way there was a BL coded SBEII in 1998 i can promise you that , it had to be a SBE as tucker mentioned! I am begining to think that a 2002 SBEII might be unlikely but Benelli CS will answer my email then we will all know from the horses mouth!
  7. New factory extension i bought back in early 2004 for 65.00 and it's NIB but not for sale!
  8. I was off a little on my dates/memory, after reviewing my paperwork i special ordered it around Nov or Dec of 2003 and it took forever to get it, about 4 to 5 months. I finally recieved it and payed for it in full on 3/12/2004. But i do feel that there were others that recieved them in late 2003 but only those guys will know that? My bad for the memory issues i lost it in the first Gulf War in 1991?
  9. I bought my SBEII in 2003 at Charlies Sporting Goods here in ABQ and they had been on the market for just a short period before that? Mine has the BT code on it and was purchased early 2003? I think that a 2002 SBEII would be possible but you would have to be associated with Benelli somehow to get one in 2002? My 2003 Model SBEII has been flawless since day # 1.
  10. I was always told that the Light magnums were for use in bolt rifles only? i have never found any information to back that up but it's being discontinued anyway! http://www.hornady.com/store/Light-magnum-heavy-magnum/ The Superformance Line is taking it's place but if you own the Light mag rounds i would give Hornaday a call if it were me!
  11. 355.00 each :) and are they cammo tan or black? Benelli PN?
  12. http://www.hyattgunstore.com/product.php?productid=20128 says 2 to 4 weeks for rifle to show up but i would be cautious of this and call them to find out if it would come in at all?
  13. Weatherby has entered the Black Tactical Shotgun arena? http://www.weatherby.com/product/shotguns/pump459 Nothing shoot flatter, hits harder or is more accurate
  14. Perhaps a gunsmith with a belt sander could grind yours down a bit? I have never seen the Supernova Pad and stock area but seems that might be only option and much cheaper than changing to the Comfortech Stock System? So i assume you did not check LOP prior to buying at a retailer.
  15. Marlin is owned by Remington and has been for some time so maybe that is why it looks like Remington? Hope it shoots like a BEE!!
  16. http://www.chuckhawks.com/shotgun_barrel_length.htm http://www.learnaboutguns.com/2008/05/31/selecting-a-shotgun-barrel-length/ Above are a couple articles and i have never owned a shotgun with less than a 28 inch barrel myself but i hunt and shoot clays and i agree if it swings well buy it, this can be missleading because i have swung some 32 inch O/U's that fit and swung really nice!
  17. Hey ya can't have it all!! We were going thru a AG&F checkpoint one year during duck season and the Warden checked my gun then he went to check my BIL shotgun and he had a simple writing pencil that he had trimmed off to work as a plug and the fellow just shook his head and tried to fit the correct number of shells in it and was not much he could say cause he was legal!!
  18. More frequent cleanings will solve the problem, a light coat of grease does attract junk but not rust, but to me it is not a problem to protect a 1500.00 shotgun by being proactive! If you have issues with the design of the finish it's kinda late for that but as tucker mentioned you can spend the $$$ and get it dipped? i prefer to use a 4 dollar tube of light gun grease and i clean mine after every outing and i never store them wet or dirty. Corrosion as everyone knows starts when the item was manufactured and continues unless you take steps to stop it and that is what i have used for years and i seem to have NO rust issues! I even use it on blued finished barrels and have for years of rust free protection and once i started using it you get the feel for when you have the proper amount applied and i never put too much cause it only takes a light film to do it's job!
  19. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/cid=0/k=magazine+plug/t=P/ksubmit=y/Products/All/search=magazine_plug Go for the universal one if you have to but it's a free call to find the correct one but price wise i would do the universal one myself!
  20. Not a big fan of CLP, i would use Hoppe's gun grease and not put a bunch on the barrel but i would coat it if i were going out in rain soaked duck blind. Good luck with Benelli fixing a rust issue as they specifically say they do not! CLP? How can it do all 3 and do any of them well? Solvent, lubricant & protection mixed together? PLS:rolleyes: I do not buy it being able to do all 3 well at all, i know a lot of people use it but not here!
  21. Not being a SA, but maybe you should have cleaned it prior to departing Alaska and even putting a light coat of grease on it before you started your hunt would have helped with those wet conditions! What time frame you talking about for leaving a wet, dirty rifle in a case?
  22. Since Briley is the Gunsmith doing their work maybe you should direct you questions to Benelli or Briley CS? http://www.briley.com/contactus.aspx
  23. i guess the remoil removal takes a while and i assUME removing it fixed the issue?
  24. http://stevespages.com/pdf/benelli_black-eagle.pdf Not sure this is correct manual but if it is enjoy?
