  1. I haven't seen the Fox and the Hound in ages, as I recall I liked that movie as a kid. I was always partial to The Great Mouse Detective, Fantasia and that movie where these 4 animals drive a wagon and take a boat in a canal and steal a painting or a piece of paper back from some large hall where everyone is asleep ... can't remember the name of that one. ETA - The Wind in the Willows.
  2. Of course they're not on the same level, it's a ridiculous strawman argument. Pest animals with no natural predator, whose populations grow yearly at unchecked levels are a serious problem. Stating the obvious (that they need to be controlled), as well as my own willingness to participate in said activity should be of no surprise ... but apparently some here take issue with it. For a gun board, there seems to be a whole lot of touchy feely animal lover types here. Here, does this picture make you angry? Do you feel the burning rage inside you at what Duggan did to the poor mother?
  3. Oh hey look, another victim of the m4's piece of sh#t rail.
  4. I used a blackhawk and a Spectre on mine years ago ... then I realized it was worthless to have a sling for my intended application (HD), and it hasn't had one since. ETA - That one linked above looks cool though, I like 2 points that mount ahead of the cheekweld ... one of my major complaints of the stock was the rear attachment point.
  5. Well, having never used a Cordoba I really can't comment either way ... but I've heard excellent things about Benelli CS, and I hope they make this right for you. Let us know.
  6. Because your main argument is a bunch of sentimental BS, and my argument is based on population numbers and the way the food chain works? If you want to start a conversation about this, start a new topic, and I'd be glad to lay out my logic in full.
  7. Look, a limited edition, rare as all heck, gold and silver decorated Cadillac! It's worth 100x what you paid for your low end shotgun! Clearly this car is the pinnacle of all driving technology, and is worthy of multiple threads a day that post the same tired images! Heck, I bet the guy even has a box, papers and a framed receipt that show just how awesome it is! OH BOY!
  8. Meh. Deer are the opposite. There are way too many of them in my area, and they have absolutely no natural predator besides humans with guns. I almost hit a dozen or so deer every single day driving home from work. I have absolutely no respect for deer, they are a pest animal and need to be severely cut back in number ... which is why plenty of people I know hunt deer year round, regardless of what "season" it is. There are still more and more deer each year, regardless of how many are killed. Granted, this isn't always the case, but sometimes it is. If I could kill a deer a day just for the heck of it, I would.
  9. Very odd. Sounds like a problem with the lifter ... somehow your fired shell is getting extracted just fine, and the new shell being lifted up is getting hit at such an angle that it turns almost 90 degrees and gets stuck as a stovepipe ... Not sure why that would happen.
  10. As in ... it looked similar to a fail to eject, but it was with the second shell, after the first got properly ejected?
  11. A friend did this once with my Mossberg ... no idea how he did it, and I haven't been able to replicate it or deduce a cause.
  12. You know ... You've picked one M4 question that I truly have no about. I just looked through the 4 different m4 manuals I have ... none of them mention any technical machining specs. Your best bet would be to direct this question to someone who works with metal ... I imagine any machinist worth his salt would be able to tell you this answer.
  13. I got my m4 to FTF one time, shooting with my left hand, one handed, limp wristing, using #9 shot. I posted a video of it on here awhile back ... I really have to try to make that gun screw up. If I held it firmly against at my waist (not that I shoot like this often) I'd bet my bank account that it would work without fail.
  14. Extremely odd. Get some pictures up here for us and we may be able to help more.
  15. I thought all you Arizona boys rolled around with loaded rifles in the center console racks? You wimping out on me?
  16. Any particular reason you want a shotgun for your trunk as opposed to a rifle? You can get a good black rifle for the same price as an m4, and it will be a lot lighter / lighter recoiling / longer range / more ammo. I don't see many situations where my handgun would be insufficient, but a shotgun would be sufficient. Close range, sudden encounters are going to be handgun territory ... any type of situation where you have some time or distance (think active shooter scenario, etc) a rifle would be far superior imo. A practical rifle with a few 30 rounders can do a whole lot of damage to a whole lot of targets at a whole lot more range.
  17. If I was going to buy a pump, it would probably be an 870 ... but I'd also consider a supernova. That said, I can't myself ever purchasing another shotgun, let alone a pump shotgun.

  19. She lies. Or it's a different item you're inquiring about. I suggest you waterboard her and demand an explanation.
  20. Thus is the saga of a small machine shop. You want super quality stuff made exactly how you want, with the finest materials and labor, developed to perfection and available for everyone with no wait times ... all from a few man operation. It's a lot to ask, frankly I am amazed an operation as small as his is even taking on so many endeavors. Nobody likes to wait, but it does no good to complain to the one guy who is actually trying to make the stuff that everyone wants.
  21. It's still coming ... just no reliable ETA yet. Good things come to those who wait.
