IMO, that was a big boo-boo where he located those Q-D sockets. I think he's finding that out right now.

Here ya go..https://www.benelliusa.com/shop/stocks-forends/m4-stocks Click standard stock in the drop down box. Not shown in the pic but, they do come complete with a sling plate installed.

Oh Les...Les, your'e not impressed by decals on a wall in a cheap room, and a propensity for priggishness, are you?
-
Don't like it. Too big, too bulky and too much. Really dig the the faux wood paneling and all those nifty little stickers and such!

And others would do well to take their bizarre need and/or proclivities for finger wagging and admonishment of other people to a kindergarten playground, where they might be listened to, maybe. Really incredible. Tag, your it:p

Anyone who knows anything about shooting knows that you don't mount an optic a mile high above a receiver. As far as all the other unnecessary garbage that misguided people festoon their guns with, if it looks like what it is, garbage that detracts from functionality and aesthetics, I think I'm free to say so. I have not used any inflammatory or uncivil language, unless you think that "very bad taste" and "functionality & aesthetics" are uncivil and inflammatory. It's a frank opinion. Hurt feelings and bruised egos don't count. You on the other hand have used inflammatory words calling me a "jerk".
-
You have very bad taste?
-
What? You would prefer I lie about it? Functionality & Aesthetics, (hint).
-
That "thing" that you have mounted on top of the receiver, as big as it is and high as it sits, along with that 8 shell side saddle has got to make your gun top heavy and inclined to roll over in the hands. Not to mention adding two inches to the length with that door breacher muzzle break well......ever thought of taking a class in aesthetics? The flashlight is about the only good thing ya got going there IMO.

Are you talking about this contraption? http://asgarddefense.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_9&products_id=16 Waay too much chit for me. I do have this short rail with detachable shell holder on my M4 http://asgarddefense.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_9&products_id=17 Very high quality stuff they make.

I like that! I like it because of it's slimness, low profile. Compared to those fat Pringle cans that most of them resemble.
-
Any thoughts on what would cause that? Are the gas ports located in the same spot on the SB's as the 18.5's?
-
That's why everyone should have an M4.
-
Not being a smartass but, why would you ever consider modifying, and thereby possibly screwing up a perfectly good firearm, with respect to where it might not function, or it might be damaged from using regular full power ammo rather than just using an appropriate load in it? I only use Federal ammo in my M4 in various loadings, and even the "reduced recoil" tactical slugs and 00 are advertised as 1300 & 1325 fps. Why insist on the 1145? The felt recoil with those 1325 loads (at least in an M4) is about as tame as a .308 bolt gun- nothing. Use that 1145 stuff in a pump gun.

Nuthin fancy any ol' smallish canvass/ballistic material type bag works for me.
-
:DI think you just did.

Oh...I thought the paramount issue is that none of the current offerings are quality-wise, comparable to Geissele.
-
http://www.smithenterprise.com/index.html SEI could definitely handle the chore. They make exceptional quality stuff. They employ wire EDM, special steels, M80 heat treating. Question is, would Ron Smith be interested in making them. It's such a small niche market, way smaller even than the M1A/M14 rifle.

Back when I bought one of these hammers from Brownells for $55.00 IIRC, there were less parts available at the time, to make your gun 922R compliant if you added a full length mag tube, and the Geissele was considered to be the best aftermarket hammer available. That's the only reason I bought one-922R. The OEM hammer is fine, there's nothing wrong with it, it's not some "weak link" junky part that HAS to be replaced with the "fine wine" magic, Geissele hammer to make the gun reliable. Now days, if you need to satisfy 922R, you don't have to replace the OEM trigger internals with hammers, triggers, sears, etc. There's the option to buy a very nice trigger housing for $200.00 instead.

Especially this guy who has spent about 50% of his time here railing at/telling people here how stupid they are.

I don't have any interest in your item. You failed to see the sarcasm. Please tell me how things work then. According to you. Is it supposed to stay in it's wrapper and forever to remain unused as a "collector's piece"? Some rare piece of art work, to be put into a plexiglass box in it's wrapper so you can gaze at it admiringly? Or, is this simply a gun part to be taken out of the package and used? Put into a gun to enhance longevity, durability, possibly reliability, and therefore, hold value because it is a superior part? Tell us honestly how much you paid for it. I bet that you won't because you don't want anyone to know how badly you are trying to take someone. I never could stomach people who come onto gun boards with rare or hard to find parts and try to hawk them for outrageous prices. There is fair price and profit and there is gouging. I never have believed in or operated in the latter. Take your overpriced **** to ebay or gunbroker. If you owned a store, you'd probably be one of those people in a natural disaster who would sell foodstuffs and water for 5 times the price.

Gee....nice to find out my M4 is worth $360.00 over market.
