  2. Always. You have provided yet one more piece with which to tempt my friend into buying his "John Wick" shotgun!

  3. Thank you for the kind words sir! I'm glad the housing met your expectations. I try to snap the best pictures that I'm capable of taking. My goal is to remove the possibility of anyone being surprised. I often think the same thing. Something looks darn good in my hand. Then when I see the pic I'm like geesh, I'm not doing myself any favors. I'd rather under promise and over deliver.

  4. I have now received the trigger housing. Shipping was prompt, communication was excellent, and item was exactly as described, although I will note that the large, detailed photographs user Milspec took showed every flaw and blemish in his ad. In person, it seems even nicer than the photos showed. I would not hesitate to engage in future transactions with Milspec, should he desire to buy something I have, or I something else he had. Deal with confidence! Thank-you, good sir!

  5. The ratcheting or closed box wrench type won’t work since there isn’t enough room to slip the wrench over the end of the nut in the tight space under the front sight tower. I bought the Craftsman ignition set about a decade ago.

  6. Quality parts Small runs, as in not made in the tens of thousands, they will be expensive. One doesn’t HAVE to buy his parts.

  9. Fft is stupid pricey. I just got into the m1014 recently and have been trying to source parts and holy crap does Tod value his products that much higher than everyone else. Must be the Cali mindset haha. He does do a good job keeping up with his weekly updates on how things are doing though.

  11. +1, $70 is dirt cheap for a full length tube of decent quality. I wish you were around 2 or so years ago, when the only full length tubes available were custom made tubes (like mine) or factory full length tubes that went for $300-$400 on ebay/gunbroker. $70 for a tube is a joke, and you're nuts if you think it's "RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED" ... heck Carriercomp or SOCOMguy tubes are 2-3x as expensive and tons of people buy them because of the quality and workmanship. Do you think they have a 5000% profit margin on every "$5 tube" because it's technically just a hunk of cheap metal? While I'm sure they wish it was so, it simply isn't the case. The point isn't that you had something negative to say, or that you wanted to warn others ... it's that you made a thread called "Dave's Metal Works= GARBAGE" based off of one experience that you made ZERO attempt to remedy. You may not consider that a personal attack on Dave, but it is most certainly a personal attack on his entire company over one isolated issue that he would have gladly offered to fix if you had given him half a chance. That's why people are giving you a hard time over this. Besides that, feedback is always appreciated.

  12. When someone makes a product, and that product is attacked by saying its garbage, that is personal attack in my mind.

  13. When you posted on a public forum, did you expect everybody to just agree with you and not have an opinion about the fairness of what you wrote? You were angry when you posted, and personally slammed the maker of the produce without giving them a chance to correct the problem. Most people who read your post didn't respond you way you thought they would. The maker of the product you complained about even had the guts to publicly respond to your problem, and you're mad about that too! If you don't want feedback, then don't post on public forums!

  14. Complete BS by the OP for NOT trying to contact you first. BUT taking the time to make pictures, and post them up on the internet. In the time that took, he could have contacted you, and had the issue resolved. For the record, I have 2 of your products, and they are flawless. As the son of a machine shop owner, I can attest, that sometimes, **** happens. If the MFG (you) are willing to make it good, I cant see a reason to *****. Some people live a sheltered life, and the first little speedbump they come across causes them a ton of grief.

  15. Hello this is Dave From Dave's Metal Works, I'm Sorry to hear that your product didn't Thread properly. All of our products carry a lifetime warranty so if you would like to E-mail me at [email protected] we can issue a return, Credit, or exchange. The nuts and tubes are made of aircraft grade 6061 aluminum, and are hard anodized. We do our best to check every tube and nut before it goes out to make sure everything works. It is completely my fault but I am only human so sometimes things get by me. So if you would like to try another nut or want a refund shoot me an e-mail. -Dave

  16. Wow. Thanks for the pile on guys. It is sad that you defend someone who can't make a threaded tube and then attack me for warning others of sketchy QC.

  17. I'm going to side mostly with 12508 on this one. I didn't see in his original post where he made any sort of personal attack on Dave, just his product. While he could have and perhaps should have contacted Midway or Dave before posting, the fact remains that he received what appears to be an inferior product. I see nothing wrong with letting others know about it, as he did in the first post. Whether it's fixed or replaced or whatever, the potential to receive a bad one from a retailer seems to exist. That's really all he was saying.

  18. So let me get this straight. Saying that someone's product doesn't deliver as advertised is a personal attack? I could care less whether Dave makes it good or not. I wanted to warn the people here that a ridiculously priced $70 tube might not work as advertised. There really is no excuse to charge that much and then say "well, lemons do happen". Lemons should not happen at that price point on that type of an item.

  19. I have NO DUTY to ask a seller/manufacturer for his permission or a refund before I tell the world what they are putting out. Give it a rest.
