There are some pretty good pictures on GunsAmerica.com. Put SBE in the search box. You may also want to check with Benelli for permission to use some of their photos. I'm sure they wouldn't mind. The media section of the site has some great images. http://media.benelliusa.com/Benelli/glamours.tpl You may also be able to use some of the pictures in my "Quick Clean" guide from this thread. http://www.benelliusa.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/1/3550.html? Let me know if you need to have them pulled from the PDF file and converted to JPG. [ 11-30-2006, 11:39 AM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

You paid too much. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976803429.htm File for a judgement against the dealer for the gun not being what he had marketed it to be. I believe you can do this through a local court, but the judgement will be binding against any of his assets, holdings, or income... not to mention screwing with his credit report. Send it back to him for a refund. Refund first, then ship.

If it was something you could do, you wouldn't be asking the question. Take it to a competent gunsmith with realistic expectations for a hunting shotgun trigger job and he'll fix you up. [ 11-29-2006, 05:16 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Sounds like the park would be a lot closer than Idaho

I put back together a BPS today that someone else had disassembled and broke. That experience convinced me that I'll never own a BPS. The point to that statement is that a loyal BPS owner/shooter would swear that I'm not only wrong, but out of mind as well. Find a gun you like. Shoot it. Clean it. Learn it. Grow to love it, or try another one.

Cool! Post up some groups and let us drool over them!

Ducks don't eat potatoes.

had a Nova and it worked fine, but I decided to upgrade to a semi-auto. Bought my SBEII over two years ago and it has been perfect. I hunt with it. If I'd wanted a trap gun, I would have bought one. Had an R1, and it did everything I expected of it without any mechanical failures. The stock did crack, but Benelli CS worked with me to not only get me a replacement, but one that matched the forearm in grain and tone. Everyone at Benelli has been great to me, and I've even had one of their smiths to slip me a secret or two. Great company. Great people. Great products.

And here's a Lefty.

I can show you a LH one if that would help? It will be later today, however.

I just found a couple in about 15 seconds. I could have either one in hand in less than ten days, and the prices look good. I also found a dealer who's taking orders for them and offers free shipping. I really didn't suffer all that much searching for them, so I'm afraid I'm not qualified to answer your philosophical questions. No telling what I could come up with if I really wanted one.

I'm a purist, and I don't believe in all this newfangled, hi-tech duck hunting equipment. I wear a loincloth and sandals. I swim out to the blinds, which I build entirely of indigenous vegetation, vines, and fish guts. I call ducks by mouth. Shivering makes a nice feed call. I take 'em with a 6-10 oz. river rock, depending on their size. I will hide out underneath the surface for divers and catch them when they come by me. Trog, my hunting buddy, says I shouldn't do it, but I will try to get them on the water sometimes. I'm not as gooda shot as Trog, but I am a better retreiver.

Hey now! I resemble that remark!

A very small percentage of new owners have reported problems with their guns. The numbers are probably less than or equal to the average for all gunmakers. The gun comes with a 5 year warranty and it is backed by a customer service department that is second to none. Don't buy it one day and go on a $4,000 goose trip the next. Buy it, break it in, clean it, and use it afield. It is man-made mechanical device and therefore is subject to flaws and breakdowns, but I'd rather have my SBEII than any other shotgun available today. Mine has never jammed and I've never had to file or grind anything.

It's been discussed here before. Search these forums for shell catcher and you should find what you're looking for.

Thanks, Dave! It was very nice, and I got another deer. Glad to see you kept your head down

Turkish made. See M2000.

You're welcome Thanks, garren.

A picture may help. The action spring and buffer tube must be inline to the bolt as it travels straight back. See the bottom section of this drawing.

I forgot that the dumazz auto-filter bleeps the word that also means a male bird.

No, you can't keep a chambered round with the hammer down, as you have to cycle the action to re-**** the hammer. The factory safety should be fine for drops up to 6 feet or so.

Here we go. I thought I'd done this before. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1478.html#000000

Yes, the safety can be switched, but it's not as easy as a Remington or Browning. The spring and detent are nestled in underneath the crossbolt. I've done a couple. No fun, but do-able. Benelli will do it for you if you call CS and set it up. Obviously, you'll have to send it to them.

With practice, it would be easy enough to get a round chambered, but the sound could give away your position to a would-be attacker. The sound could also let him know you've got a loaded gun. That could be enough to scare him off, or it could provoke a violent reaction. With only two people in the house, I'd keep one in the chamber, with the safety on.
