Looking forward to picking up two of your new model of light mounts

Hmm, with a good drill press I'm sure one could insert a tritium vial into the front sight http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=295997 It would be hard to market as les_garten pointed out...but something someone could do at home or at a machine shop.

Hey Mr. Danger, Have you considered the poly-bodied surefires? I'm finishing up my m4 SBS build and am looking at those to save a bit of weight...not much mind you. Also For the Trijicon RMR I saw that a 1 MOA dot is out now. I had my heard set on an Aimpoint T-2 2MOA but with the rail option a 3.25 or 1 MOA Trijicon seems like the top of the heap. Any thoughts on the dot size? Thanks again for all of the input you've had on these forums!!!! P.S. sorry for semi-hijacking the thread

Just curious if anyone know that aluminum alloy used to make the receiver. The only things I could find in google hint that it MIGHT be "Ergal" or 7075. Just curious if anyone has found or knows anything more. Benelli's customer service wasn't helpful...at least the US branch.

These guys are the maker I gather from guns.ru http://priceli.narod.ru/

I never had much luck with Fiocchi (though others may have) I've used remington, federal, and Hornady with no problems. Is the failure to feed just a severe failure to eject or is the chamber left empty? In either case your recoil spring may be a bit too stiff and I've head that leaving you bolt cocked back for a night or two can help...or just use some 3" shells to get that spring softened up. The only feeding problem I had was when I used the wrong length of spring for an extended mag tube and the last round always got caught up. A complete idiot move on my part. I'm sure other longer term forum member can give more thorough and/or accurate advice. Cheers and best of luck!

I think he was talking about just the plastic piece on the follower for one of the compliance parts....not the follower itself

I slowly removed it with finger nails and a needle nose plier. Just took my time to make sure all 4 tabs moved forward at the same time to prevent damage. I think carrier comp used to send out a small piece of tube that was perfect for removal...so there is that method as well. Maybe someone still has it and can give id measurements for it? Cheers

I gambled too....fingers crossed on this one. And thanks for sharing!

I've used the birch-casey black aluminum touch up (in matte or flat) http://www.amazon.com/BWC-15101-Super-Black-Touch-Up/dp/B004WHANTA with pretty good success. Keep in mind that it will wear extremely quickly if rubbed. Aluminum forms surface oxides fairly quickly....eventually I hope to figure out the concoction carrier comp uses for their Cerakote to refinish my barrels. Or have them do it if they ever have the time.

Thanks for the confirmation and clarification. I suspected as such as I don't ram the barrel down into the receiver. Still working on my ejection port beveling like StrangerDangers though

This is from another forum... http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-long-gun-talk/80819-shortening-benelli-tactical-stock-la-ned-christiansen.html

Thanks. Yeah....I realized my mistake on what was causing the wear a bit after my post. Hopefully it settles down as the beveling of the receiver appears similar to Dugan's much more used shotgun. Cheers

Yeah...sorry for the potato quality pictures. Here are some that are a bit better http://i.imgur.com/TDvSYdj.jpg?2 http://i.imgur.com/f8xTBBg.jpg?2 http://i.imgur.com/TDvSYdj.jpg?2

Hey everyone, So I've put around 500-700 rounds through my m4 (mostly slugs) I'm just curious if the receiver wear from the bolt carrier group I'm seeing is normal or if something is badly aligned. Any advice would be appreciated. http://imgur.com/rWRzVSD http://imgur.com/fNdyUBl http://imgur.com/zrIn3Pd The second link is probably the best. I'm talking about the center guide/ramp/??? where a bevel has been formed from the bolt carrier group. *EDIT* Actually I think it's from the barrel as the bolt carrier group doesn't move that far forward....maybe I take my gun apart too much

Scout_21 replied to Unobtanium's topic in Benelli
Thanks for the great sale! Now I just need to acquire a 14" barrel and I'll have a nice complete set ....more paperwork with that one though.
