  1. You are correct, it's not right OR acceptable. You want to be able to keep the weapon mechanically zeroed. IOW, you should be able to keep the rear sight witness mark centered in the sight base, and only adjust the front sight right or left to attain windage zero, just like you would zero an M1 Garand or M14 rifle. IF you move the front post as far as it will go in either direction and you still have to move the rear sight, then you have two options. You can do as you have and live with it or, you can send it back to Benelli as a warranty issue. This is not right to keep it like that. If you were talking about a Springfield Armory M1A, they would absolutely without question, replace the barrel, and if that did not work, they would replace the whole rifle and have done so many times. As I said, the weapon should be able to be mechanically zeroed for windage without having to move the rear sight.
  2. Yeah, mostly I just teasing ya. Iv'e never read anything but glowing reviews here about their product.
  3. Uh oh...it already sounds like you should have gone somewhere else. If you're wondering, it means you're not one who likes to wait for stuff. That said...I don't think anyone can tell you what you want to know, except them. Any answers given here will be pure speculation and anecdotal like; "well, when I ordered mine"....it was_____which won't tell you anything because that was then and this is now. I'll do some speculating...I think, (and it's just my opinion formed from what I have read here) is that they don't do this as a full time job, that it is a secondary business, and possibly they only make those tubes when they get a certain amount of orders in. Just my opinion, I have no way of knowing for sure, and I don't know if they have answered the question of the lead times. Have they? When it comes to the titanium tubes, that stuff can be very hard to get sometimes, and when you buy it, you have to buy a certain amount of it at a time so, that could also be a reason for long lead times. For me, waiting weeks or longer for a mag tube when there are other options out there is a no brainer, I'll go somewhere else, and I did. But I am an impatient man..I want my stuff NOW. Let us know how you make out.
  4. When you say FTF, were there light primer strikes? Did you look at the primers? I doubt it that the lube you were using OR the ammo was the cause of the FTF's. Probably now that you have the OEM trigger parts back in, the issue will be solved.
  5. Yeah, it still needs a can opener and nail clippers.
  6. Call Benelli USA and get one. (snap ring)
  7. I'm in the camp that believes the ghost ring sights on an M4 are plenty good and a $500.00 optic is a waste of money better spent on more ammo.
  8. I would call Benelli USA and get one from them. They might even give it to you for nothing. I called them about that silly "O" ring on the bolt carrier retaining pin, and they sent me a new one for free.
  9. Couldn't agree more. I thought "postage stamp" but your description fits better. A waste of money IMO to change those parts that are pretty well designed and kept small and unobtrusive for a reason. Buy ammo instead.
  10. I have an M4 and am totally sold on the OEM handle, which is the one in the picture. For my taste, it looks better than those ridiculous giant tube handles some people festoon them with. I don't know about the M1 action but, the M4 action is so smooth and easy to charge that you only need a handle the size of the OEM to pull it back. You don't need crowbar.
  11. My only experience with them was buying a follower and spring for my full length mag tube. IIRC, they sent me a confirm email immediately then, it was within 10 days when I got the shipping email and received them. A satisfactory experience for me. I wonder if they only start producing the mag tubes when they get a certain amount of orders for them?
  12. I think that they do not coat the barrel extension because it is hard chromed already. Looks like the same stuff (hard chrome) that they line military barrels with. M14's M16's and the M-1014.
  13. Looks like they did not coat the barrel extension and ejector, which is the same as my H2O. I prefer some contrast to the parts for example, I would have left the trigger housing and rear sight assembly and front sight black. But hey, that's how the H2O models come.
  14. I use what I use on my M14/M1A rifles. Grease. Rifle grease to be specific, either lubriplate 130A or plastilube. The recoil spring gets oil, the FP channel gets a drop or two of oil. The bolt gets a few drops of oil prior to insertion into the carrier, but the outside of the bolt carrier and tail gets greased.
  15. Oh ok, well I thought it is about $200.00 less than gun store retail, guess I am wrong.

    M4 for sale

Hey guys, not mine but I think that this is a pretty good price for this. [h=4]FS: Unfired Benelli M4[/h]
  17. I had the same experience with the tube and cap loosening during shooting. Mine is steel, not Ti, and it is coated with NP3 including the threads. Maybe that is why it loosened, IDK, but it has remained tight after I used Loctite on it.
  18. Just curious, did you shake it up well before you applied it? That's what it says in the instructions and it does separate when it sits for a while.
  19. Nice explanation thank you. The OEM pistol grip stock fits me so naturally that I think I would be wasting my money to buy anything else.
  20. A scratch?? :rolleyes:Looks like someone took a dremel cutting wheel to it.
  21. That's gunbroker for ya. Iv'e seen lots of stuff for sale there with condition descriptions just like that and then the pics show wear or damage. Lots of people out there who think that when they show a picture it absolves them of any liability for buyer recourse, no matter what the description says.
  22. Iv'e only used two brands of 00 buck so far both function well no problems. Federal LE 12700 and Remington Express LE buckshot. Both have nice tight pattern at 30 yards or so. I haven't used anything other than 00 buck so far only 180 rounds.
