Are you a gunsmith? No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night! š3 points

Hey All, This new product will be available for purchase in a couple weeks. The storage compartment gives the Benelli M4/M1014 shotgunners to store small items in the collapsible stock. Easily access the compartment using the charging handle as a tool to pop open the lid. Can store a single CR123A, or a single AA battery, along with a small tool like a torx or hex key if needed and a little space to spare on the upper part of the compartment (just to give an idea on size). It is a tight fit to insert and remove items, but I tested a AA battery, and CR123A battery both in baggies, and had no issues getting them in and out. Installation is very easy, just remove the comb, put the unit in the empty space, and put the comb back on. The existing screws on the comb hold the compartment firmly in place after the comb is re-installed. Features drainage slots on the bottom of the design, to allow for water to drain should the weapon get submersed in water. Feel free to sign up at rxarms.com on the waitlist to get notified when it is in stock if you are interested! A CR123A wrapped in a small baggy, and a hex tool (pictured above)2 points

āIām a gunsmithā..āare you a gunsmith? People like this who are legends in their own minds feel compelled to self-proclaim & pronounce themself as being superior-validated on a particular subject matter when their opinion is not shared. These are the same people who stand alongside & hold hands with all those people that proclaim they were standout athletes in high school and/or college but were kept from stardom becauseā¦āthe coach hated meā. World champion & expert recognized shooters are often sought out to test various firearm items, including newly introduced optics & scopes that..ātheyāve never had their hands onā..which according to kenw111 makes their words āuselessā.1 point

If we're taking inventory I have 15 Aimpoints (eight Micros, three PROs, four CompM4s) and 2 EOTechs, and some other stuff, but no low end red dots, don't trust 'em. And NO, I'm not a gunsmith.1 point

Just some punk who is butt hurt because everyone isnāt praising his budget optic.1 point

āIām a gunsmithā so is half of the people on this forum. Not sure why you keep bringing up how many mediocre optics you have. Bragging about cheap optics is about the same as someone bragging about their hi point collection. no body gives a shit and it doesnāt give you slightest bit of credibility. Itās actually pretty comical if it wasnāt so sad.1 point

500 rounds really isn't even much of a test. The half assed installation of the aftermarket components likely caused all of their grief. Unless you're really chasing weight savings, get a Carriercomp magazine tube over the Briley. Briley dicked around when they made their tubes so that each end of the tube is seated into a stainless end which has the threaded ends. The trouble is, the transition from stainless to carbon fiber tube is not the best. Inserting rounds, the follower can hit the transition and stick even with their aftermarket follower that is designed to work around that exact issue. That's exactly the issue they were having where they were struggling to load rounds and having to hold your mouth just right to get it to pass over the transition. You can play warranty games with Briley, but it's going to take a bit to fix everything right. You don't have any of those issues with a single piece titanium or steel tube. Whatever you get, put some thread locker on it. Strike Industries is synonymous with crap. Set screws to keep the rail from rocking back and forth that press against your handguard retainer and barrel casting is a piss poor design. All that movement can lead to a piston striking the rail. That Speed Bar wasn't going to last long with those Mongo's beating on it like that. That's a light duty part at best. Even a GG&G would probably end up breaking from that kind of abuse. We've all seen the size of the screw that holds that pad in place. I think they alluded to replacing the receiver extension? That's the area I'd be concerned with.1 point

Gas blowback isn't the issue, but exposing the pistons on a COMBAT shotgun to the elements and impacts doesn't seem like a very good idea to me. The pistons seem to be pretty sturdy, but it's basically what the entire operating system relys on afterall. Not that my M4 has seen or ever will see any combat, but making them prone to impacts and unnecessary wear just seems like a bad idea. Probably not a big deal for home defence or competition use, but for "field" applications such as LE or hunting, I think it's less than ideal. Surely there's a reason why Benelli designed the OEM forend to cover the pistons too? Since almost every aftermarket forend exposes the pistons in some way, I guess there's a possibility I'm just beeing silly and my criticism is completely unwarranted. But I suspect the manufacturers are cutting corners to get them on the shelves as fast as possible. Just focusing on making it look cool, cause they know that sells. I mean some of the aftermarket forends are just plain lazy! Cool sure, but lazy nonetheless! This might not be as big of a problem as I make it out to be, but I still think it's less than perfect. And that bothers me, cause it can be! This one sure is getting close though IMO!1 point

Geissele made only a hammer. The only performance benefit from it was how hard the surface treatment is. They show very little wear after thousands of rounds. Even the OEM hammer gets beat up a little when hitting the firing pin and the base of the bolt carrier. Theyāre not worth the retarded prices we see since I have never seen a M4 hammer work out to the point that it stopped functioning. Iāve installed probably 50 sets of FFT trigger packs. I havenāt had one fail. I have had to fit a few to certain trigger packs in the past. The fitting was minor. Mainly the hammer wouldnāt move freely since the trigger frame was too narrow. This only occurred on the old aluminum OEM frames. Not saying it canāt happen on the polymer ones, but I havenāt seen it. These trigger kits are getting difficult to get from FFT. Itās always a waiting game for the past few years. I have no idea who actually makes them for them. Briley makes decent stuff and would be an excellent option. Some donāt like the titanium nitrate finish on the trigger. You could have it painted whatever color you want. Iām not sure if they make the parts in house or not. I have no experience with the set that Benelliparts sells.1 point

IF you used your brain youd realize that lets JUNK/CRAP fall into the gas piston system .-1 points

Im a gunsmith, and own more optics and red-dots than almost everyone on this board combined (not literally but close to be sure). Opinions? I dont care about anyone's opinions, only facts and logic (and wisdom). Comparing a Kia and a Caddy? well BOTH ARE JUNK, .....however a Kia is statistically more reliable than a junk american made Caddy. bad analogy there honey. In your poor analogy however a cheapo KIA IS 100000% better than a junk made unreliable Caddy.-1 points
