Every time he post pics of those things, particularly the bronze one..I just smile & get all warm & fuzzy inside..followed by an urge to go find my wife lol!! Benelli should hire Stranger as a Consultant!

  2. this honestly is not that hard to fix with the right tools. You just need to heat up the receiver, break the red locktight, and re-do it straight. Takes less than an hour.. you just need to work up the mental balls to tackle it. @StrangerDanger can assist you if you do not want to undertake it.

  3. You learn to get pretty adept at operating your C-stock after a while, but there is a learning curve for sure. I am of the opinion that Benelli put a lot of engineering into making that thing stand up to Aberdeen testing. It's got a replaceable steel pin that interfaces with flat in the recoil tube, plus a spring-loaded volcano-shaped detent that wedges in the groove. It's a VERY robust system. The new one? I'd have to look at it. But I KNOW the old one works, and it has the proper LOP's for my uses, right on the money. Full out for NODS use, medium 12.25" LOP for daytime use

  4. This just happened to me a few weeks ago with a supposedly brand new M4 H2O. My local dealer did the right thing and issued me a refund without a hassle and sent it back to his distributor. He did the right thing because he knew he tried to screw me. He knew that gun was gouged up and used because he had assembled and inspected it before putting it back in the box. He should have said something right then and there. If I dwell on it, I start to boil that he even thought about trying that sh**. Being the trusting dumbass that I can be, like you, I just gave it a brief inspection and brought it home. On my way out the door, I even said, "I'm not going to bother putting it together here because I trust you." What a moron. I have a hunch that my dealer did the right thing because I live less than a mile from him. This isn't meant as bravado or machoism - just factual - but it also doesn't hurt that while I'm past middle age, I still have a rugged, muscular build like a guy half my age, and with my shaved head, busted nose, and a few other bumps and bruises from my misspent youth, I don't exactly look like a real friendly guy - even though I am. Well, most days. LOL Anyway, the next day, I bought an in-store M1014 from another local dealer that I will be picking up on Saturday. I've had great success with on-line, sight unseen purchases in the past, but never again. The world is changing. So little honor these days.

  5. Newbie here. Wanted to thank the folks in this thread for all the information regarding the tube removal and install. Just got a M4 and it was stupid easy to remove the OEM tube on mine. Heat gun on low setting (450 F) and I only had it on the receiver for like 2 minutes as I wanted to test if it would move at all and it turned just using my hands. The red lock tite didn't even melt but pretty much crumbled off. 99% of it was on the tube threads and basically nothing on the receiver threads. Wiped off all the crumbled pieces and the new tube (DMW) went on easy. Also, DMW tube is great! Got it in like 4 days after ordering on his site and while it may not be as nice as the FFT, CC or Briley, for 115 bucks, you can't beat it and he actually had them in stock. I'm sure the titanium tubes from FFT (honestly think they are way over priced) and CC (reasonably priced but 3-4 month wait) are nice but DMW tube is exactly what I wanted at a price that is very reasonable. For any other newbies like me, here are the parts to make it 922r compliant. DMW tube - 115 DMW follower - 19 FFT forend - 70

  10. My M4 looks just like any other right now, but the custom case with a benelli flashlight and a interestingly gripped knife with a matching serial number is pretty unique. The only downside is the case is a bit oversized, and the foam isn’t cut in a way that permits adding an RMR, a light, or a stock with an adjustable length of pull so I might have to buy another pelican case.

  11. Here are mine both with strike forends and the entry threaded for standard ckokes. The salvo now stays on that one in the 8" config. Titanium fft tube on the 18" and I'll get a carrier comp tube for the entry at some point.
