  1. It could help. I use a dental pic with an angled edge to push and hold the spring down while I tap the pin in. I reference a specific bit in my tutorial, it works ok, but not perfect. It seems harder to use on the A&S frames. A thin feeler gauge might also work.
  2. Honestly, the most difficult part in the trigger pack is that stupid safety design. It easy to take out, but getting it back in is difficult to do without damaging the spring. You have to compress the spring while tapping the pin in place. What A&S should do is machine a hole in the rear portion of the trigger frame to allow you to insert and compress the spring, then insert a pin or tool to keep the spring compressed while you drive the retention pin in place. Pull out the spring retainer and enjoy. I think I’ll send them an email about it. The rest of it is pretty easy if you follow my or others’ guides.
  3. Agreed. They feel good too. The 100% stippling would probably be too much.
  4. The knife doesn’t get in the way of shouldering?
  5. I have both the 1moa and 3.5moa RMRs. I honestly can’t tell the difference in their size. When buying now, I opt for the smaller moa dot size. I never have issues locating the dot in the optic, so I figure a smaller aiming point offers more precision if needed.
  6. It was mainly for the 922 compliance since the parts count has been left up to interpretation. So having more than necessary is better than right at the line. I hand filed the fitment so they seat well. Nothing can be done about that weird offset between the halves though.
  7. Another option is you can remove your iron sights. They tend to clutter your sight picture thru an optic. You’ll remove 3.5 ounces from the M4 and have faster target acquisition since you won’t be occluding the optic’s red dot.
  8. I use the padded BlueForceGear QD slings with sewn in connectors. Connecting to the opposite side provides a lot of benefits. It helps control how much the shotgun can roll away from your body when you’re hands off. When slung down the front of your chest, and you’re hands off, there is a lot less rotation of the shotgun since the shotgun is being held against your chest vs. the sling having a 9 pound shotgun attached to the shotgun and which wants to pivot where it connects. Connecting to the outside prevents the sling from bunching up between your chest and the stock which can prevent you from shouldering the stock in the pocket.
  9. I’d probably go with ERT just because they have more colors than black. I have three of the Blackhawk brand ones. They’ve been loaded for the past decade with occasional use. The elastic has held up fine over the years. Design between the two looks pretty similar.
  10. Great firearm there and 922 compliant. The stippling really improves the feel over OEM handguards. You can deal with Milspec with confidence.
  11. What about replacing the buttpad with Limbsaver Airtech model which should be an improvement over the factory buttpad? Limbsaver says the 10810 will fit the Comforttech stock.
  12. My apologies; the Leap 01 is still available. Just the Sync Aimpoint specific Mount has been discontinued. It’s possible it could return if they had enough demand.
  13. I don’t believe they make the Scalarworks Aimpoint Mount any longer. I’d go with the MI brand one.
  14. The heat would damage the plastic. I would remove it. You shouldn’t need to remove the buttpad though. There aren’t any plastic parts inside the stock. With the stock button removed, it shouldn’t need the screw removed, but I’m not a 100% sure on that one. I think the screw limits the movement of the button.
  15. The OEM stock is the only standard stock available at this time. The trouble with adapting an AR15 style stock to the Benelli M4 is the fact that the receiver extension in the Benelli is angled rather than a straight to the rear like on the AR15 series. Not many would be willing to go thru the hassle of removing the receiver extension. The angled receiver extension also changes the sight picture in the various positions. Fully closed, your sight picture is much higher over the receiver vs. fully extended. So if you had a stock that opened straight to the rear, your sights would also need to be modified. The closest thing would be the Asgard Defense Kriger shotgun which was developed from the Benelli M4. https://asgarddefense.com/
  16. Gluing an Allen key likely won't work. I'd hit the area with a heat gun or a MAPP torch to heat up the screw to break down whatever thread locker was used. You can try one of those easy out bits on the stripped screw head. If that doesn't work, a flat spot can be cut in to the head of the screw so that you can use a flathead. You should be able to knock out the roll pin that holds the adjustment button in place to be able to remove the stock.
  17. Good deal. When you get it in, send me a PM and we’ll make arrangements for shipping.
  18. It will work but it may be hard to find. I used to buy the ED2 lights on the original Ava Tactical mounts.
  19. Now much recoil reduction do you feel with the comp? Any chance in how loud the shotgun is perceived to the shooter? If I had an entry length barrel, I’d be tempted to get the muzzle threaded and add one along with the +1 cap.
  20. Thanks! Did you buy the buttpad already? If so, which model? I noticed it’s hard to get the buttpad we need lately. I couldn’t find the 10403’s anywhere. If you have the buttpad, I’d be glad to fit it to your stock. I can usually get a job like that done the next day. Just pay the return shipping.
  21. What kind of work are you looking to have done? A lot of it you might be able to do yourself.
  22. No more fresh coconut for me!
  23. A suicide I was involved in used one in a small apartment. The room he was in was absolutely destroyed. He had almost no head left. The skull was gone, like busted coconut shells all over the room mixed with wet cat food that had dried since he wasn’t discovered until about four days later. A serious hazmat clean up was needed since the room had to be gutted to the studs to rehab the rental. The projectiles kept on trucking and were embedded in ceiling. You could see the perfect holes from the buckshot and the center slug.
  24. In my burnt bronze M4, I have the tube full of Hexolite32 steel slugs. It’s my go to gun for the bears here. All the other critters get hosed down with .223 or 9mm. The NP3 M4 is full of Winchester PDX1 slug and ball rounds. Whatever you use, pattern it at a few different ranges so you know how it behaves in that particular gun. Some buckshot like that cheap Remington Express stuff Walmart sells patterns at about 36” in diameter at 40 yards with my Benelli M4 with the factory choke. So firing at a B27 target, maybe 5 out of 9 pellets will hit the human sized silhouette.
  25. The only potential issue is how tight the snap ring is to this mount. The old BLAM mounts were pretty sloppy so the mount would wiggle. This wiggle was exaggerated the longer your light was.
