  1. I came here to post what RPC said. Dinging up something new that you love sucks. On the other hand, the first scratch/ding is the hardest and now you don't have the pressure of keeping it pristinte. Going even further, I learned to appreciate the character that some imperfections can add to an item, so now I'm almost relieved when I initially damage something (assuming the damage isn't' too bad. If it is, I just get pissed off haha)
  2. Damn, I can't believe I missed this.
  3. It occurred to me that I have yet to post a photo of my M4 since completion.
  4. @StrangerDanger or @Vertigofirearms would be the best bet here.
  5. I'm running the 65 shim too. Already tried this out on the pigeons at my moms farm and it worked well.
  6. They are designed to be held differently. Instead of putting the bead on the target, it's intended to be just BELOW. Not sure why this is, but once I switched to that any problems I had shooting higher went away.
  7. I put a Briley ch on both my SBE 3 and the M4 and I couldn't be happier. I wish it had some knurling but otherwise it's a great fit. Easy to get in and out but it holds tight and does not cause any damage to the receiver.
  8. Well I went to Bass Pro and picked up that tiny Wheeler kit and after just one use it was obvious how shitty it is. Secretly hoped I could get away without spending QUITE as much as that PB Swiss set, but it looks to be unavoidable. Although any day getting new tools isn't a bad day.
  9. Thank you for all of the feedback! I will start looking into these now. As for punches I have two sets of Starrett, one steel and the other brass so I think I'm set on those. I wish I had known about that extra long punch sooner as that project was a pain in the ass without having a proper vice to hold the gun.
  10. Hey all, do any of you have a gun-focused screwdriver set you'd recommend? I'm looking to buy a set I'll have for life, so price is not an issue. Thanks!
  11. Hmm... I'm surprised to hear that. I thought all M4s came with a choked barrel. Either way, congrats on your impeccable timing. That makes owning this gun all the more sweet since there is an awesome story to go with it!
  12. Bringing this thread back because I'm interested in a set of night sights. I figured the Benelli sights were rebranded and since they aren't that great overall, I'm going in a different direction. LPA, XS, Trijicon, HiVIZ, is there anyone else I should be looking at?
  13. Just post a photo then we'll be able to tell you right away.
  14. That's ridiculous. Any chance you had taken photos of the gun before sending it in?
  15. Hell yeah, congrats man. Now all you need is the c-stock then you're good to go!
  16. It just occurred to me that I haven't posted a single photo of my M4 since I finished it last month. I'll find a good background then snap some pics.
  17. Oh okay. It's not that the oem one is uncomfortable, but I'm looking for something a little bit speaker. Kinda like the grips that come on Sig AR rifles, ya know?
  18. Hmm.. didn't see a grip available on there.
  19. Super easy though. Did it to mine with just a GG&G pad and bolt.
  20. I have the c-stock on my M4 but I was wondering if there are different pistol grips out there that will work with it. Is anyone using something different?
  21. Damn, that's a good looking bolt release!
  22. Honestly, the best way to unload the gun at this point is to find a wall in your house that you don't care about then just blast it until the magazine is empty. Don't forget to wear eyes and ears.
  23. Well, I'm not sure if cool but it's become trendy among outdoor folks. The price has gone up but the quality has gone down.
