These tubes are back ordered everywhere. The virus panic has gotten a lot of people to buy M4’s and take steps to fix their special edition model M4’s neutered receiver extensions. I haven’t talked to Antoine in a while. So I can’t comment on that.

The DF is bright. But if you avoid lighting up walls head on, it will minimize the light blow back. I use a M600IB on both of mine. It auto adjusts between 100-600 lumens. The problem is the head is much larger diameter and needs to be machined your make fit on a IWC or Ava Mount. I hope Surefire releases a DF model with the intellibeam Scout at some point.

Steve Rose at Rose Action Sports can thread a 14” barrel If I recall.

Benelli M4 - need advice on light and mount options

It will only fit if you machine off the knurling of the lamp housing. -
Those water transfer film finishes are extremely easy to damage. I could probably pick it off with my fingernail.

Benelli M4 - need advice on light and mount options
StrangerDanger replied to Islander's topic in Benelli
You’ll need this version of the IWC mount. The only difference is that it has a picatinny rail section that attached to the mount. Then you would attach the x400 to the picatinny rail section. The light/laser will be canted slightly, so your x and y adjustments for the laser are going to be off. You’ll have to adjust both of them in order to dial in a zero. This isn’t too hard, I use two wrenches at one time and adjust them both at the same time. Now I would likely consider a tape switch for activation this light. Those toggle switches on the back of the x400 are going to hurt under recoil. I’d mount the light on the ejection port side if I was a right handed shooter, then route the tape switch button over to the opposite side. I’d grind a spot for the tape switch pad to sit in. Id also modify the x400 to make the toggle switch much harder to move. That way the system doesn’t get knocked to Off/Light Only/Both/Laser Only/Off. I’d trim the switch to make it hard to move from the Both setting I assume you want. -
Esstac makes some decent Velcro shot cards.

If it’s in stock you shouldn’t have any issues. If it’s in back order hell, you could be waiting a while.

I’m still waiting on mine. Slowest. Shipping. Ever. Might as well be Optics Planet or Brownells free shipping which goes 8th class Pony Express.

I tried a bunch of them and found I hate them. 1. Made the shotgun very uncomfortable when slung. 2. Added quite a bit of weight which slows down how fast you can swing the barrel from target to target. 3. Requires the use of the cherry picking method for loading one round at a time vs. belt mounted speed loaders where you can grab and stuff 2,3,4 shells at a time depending on skills and hand size. 4. Can limit other accessories. Such as if you’re stuck using their top rail replacement. I do have concerns about mounting pounds of accessories which are attached by five tiny top rail screws. Any impacts to the the mount is going to be transferred to those screws. The only one I kind of liked was the Mesa one for the buttstock. It only works with the pistol grip and Standard stocks. It is a real PITA to install for the average user since it replace the sling plate. Having the weight at the rear of the shotgun was less of an issue. If I had to have shells on the receiver, I’d use one of the Velcro type.

The factory supplied Modified choke. I got those groups off of a Lead Sled to minimize shooter errors.

M4 night sights? Anything besides Meprolight and XS?

Something wasn’t right there. -
The collapsible stock will fit in the fully extended position on the 11701 but will not collapse unless you replace the receiver extension with a 3 position tube.

Sure thing. If you want to give it a go, I’ll walk you thru it. If you prefer not to try, we can arrange transfer. I can usually get those done in a day. -

The factory nut should have worked. I wonder if maybe they sent you one for a M2? -

It’s doable. Take a look at my tutorial at the following link to see if it’s something you’re willing to tackle yourself. You need some specialized equipment to do it. Like a MAPP torch and a good padded vice. A bunch of members just send them to me to fix. The biggest issue right now is not having a source for 3 position receiver extensions. They should return in time. -
Socom guy makes great steel tubes. His are better than the OEM ones.

Can you describe the misfire in more detail? Is the shell ejecting? Is the shell hung up on the carrier? Is the shell left in the chamber? Any modifications done to the shotgun? What kind of cleaning/lubrication regiment is being done?

A local small time FFL or even an at home one would be best. I hold an FFL myself to facilitate transfers, mainly for gunsmithing. They'll be a lot less likely to mess with it. The hardest part is to get your FFL to link up with the person you purchased it from to get a copy of their license transferred to get shipping going. FFL to FFL transfer. Then your FFL will do the 4473 on you.

As your avatar would say, "Decent..." As for the 3 position receiver extension, I usually buy them from Benelliparts.net https://www.benelliparts.net/store/p21/Benelli_M4_M1014_3_Position_Recoil_%2F_Adjustment_Tube.html Midwest also lists them. You do not want the 5 position extension. It will not work with your stock. https://www.midwestgunworks.com/benelli-m4/recoil-spring-tube.html You will want to read my tutorial on how to replace the receiver extension. It's not the easiest job.
