Moving the mount requires the use of an external snap ring plier. Basically it spreads the ring so you can lift it out of place in order to move the mount. You can get a pair of internal/external snap ring pliers from home depot for about $20. At least that is where I got mine. Made by Klein with blue plastic coated handles. Worth buying if you own shotguns or have buddies who do. It also works great to remove the snap ring that Benelli puts in all of their mag tubes.

Any plans for a collapsible version?

Muy bueno!

So I shot finally shot some PDX1 today. I decided to see how it would pattern at 10yds as it's marketed as a home defense round. I shot it out of an M4 with the factory mod. choke and a nova tactical with the factory cylinder set up. First is the M4 and then the Nova. Seems like it is satisfactory out of an M4. Dunno about using it out of a cylinder choke like the Nova- I'd be worried about stray pellets. Don't mind the point of impact, I pulled the shot as I was trying to hold the gun steady For close up work it sees like it might do the trick . . .

I'm surprised you ranked it so low on disassembly. All you need to do is pull off the buttpad and loosen the stock bolt with a 13mm socket wrench just enough to allow the grip to rotate out of the way allowing the triggergroup to be removed . . .

I've never had a problem with them. Hey, at least they scored some collapsible stocks and sold them to us lowly civvies:D

Great info. I like that it is affordable and plated. I'm tired of cleaning up after cheap unplated buckshot.

That new rail looks very tempting. Does anyone know with that aimpoint mount they are offering if it is possible to cowitness with any optics out there??? edit: with that mount, besides the T/H1 micros . . .

Thanks for posting. It looks like S and B and Fiocchi are good performers pattern-wise. Especially for the money. Edit: Which particular Fiocchi loading is that? Is it nickel plated? Low recoil?

http://www.freedomfightertactical.com/products.php I like their +2 better than Benelli's. Better finish compared to recent OEM +2s and you can remove the barrel without removing the extension.

^^^Which Federal load? Do you have a pn? Also, you using the factory mod choke?

My buddy had a C products mag with the orange follower. It was garbage from day one.

Hi all, I was just wondering what slugs/buckshot you guys were using with success in your M4. I have tried the top shelf Federal LE132 00, 133 00, and LE127RS. All function perfectly but the patterns/accuracy isn't that great. The slug accuracy was particulary poor. Should I try another choke besides the factory modified? Interestingly enough, the cheap Wolf and SB ammo performs awesome but I'm concerned that I could be using better performing loads, terminally speaking. Anyone have any recommendations? I did a search but I didn't find much. Thanks

I have a fairly low round count (several hundred rounds) M4 that has one O-ring that is getting worn. Probably from getting nicked from the cylinder threads while removing the gas plugs.

+ infinity. The question everyone wants to know. And will benelliusa forum members get a discount:D

It threads on and is kinda wedged in place by the triggerguard. Or are you talking about the pistol grip coming apart from the stock and not the whole assembly from the receiver? Post some pics.

There's one on there with a buy it now price of $850:eek:

There's a ton on gunbroker right now. Hmm.

Yes, thanks but I'm not concerned.

Thanks for the heads up Quad!

My M4 stocks are misaligned like that also. I have tried realigning them but it is tricky because you have to twist it on but not too far, and then install the triggerguard. Kinda a pita trial and error affair. I just deal with it:o

Still shocks me.
